BTA Design Menu...width of intro text changes from wide to very skinny

I posted a variation of this question a few days ago with some incorrect information. At the time, I thought this text issue was caused because the plugin is not designed to rotate to landscape mode. I've disabled rotation and i'm still having the problem in the portrait orientation. Here it is: on my large test devices the BTA Design Menu intro text width is set to fill the width of the button(say 260). Without rhyme or reason, the width of the text toggles back and forth from the correct width to 30 or so. Any insight would be appreciated.

There is a rhyme and reason. We need to find it :) Start by looking at your logs and seeing if there is anything there that might point to why it's changing sporadically. 'something' is triggering it. Add a few 'BT_debugger' statements with different 'milestone' statements so you can see what is happening via the log file. (something like: [BT_debugger showIt:self theMessage:@"just changed text size"];) Does this happen on iPhone devices? Just tablets? Do you have any screen size specific code? Does it happen on just one series of tablet or all of them? What does it do on the simulator? What if you 'shake' it on the simulator? Cheers! -- Smug

Is this the iPad? (with retina display?) iPad Dimensions: 1024x768, r: 2048x1536 In this plugin, you should set all of the pixel information (width and height) to the non retina resolution. Retina will automatically be scaled up. For images, you should still provide a standard and @2x image. Does this help? Jake

Thanks for the suggestions. The iPhone version performs beauntifully. It's the iPad and iPad menu that has the phenomenon in which the width of the text gets narrow at random times. I'll mess around with it and see if I can get any debug info. @smugwimp: how do you "shake" on a simulator?

@MrT: Go to the iOS Simulator -> "Hardware" Menu Item - > "Shake Gesture" Jake
