Buzztouch partners with Kinvey to bring you amazing features to your app!

Kinvey takes the hassle out of building and operating mobile backends. They offer SDK's for IOS and Android. This is one to take a look at for sure! A message from Kinvey: If nobody downloads your app, you are out of time and money; but if everyone uses it, your servers will crash. With Kinvey, developers no longer need to choose between up-front investment and robustness. We eliminate your risk by reducing backend development time from weeks to hours, allowing you to prototype faster and with less effort. No servers to spin up and manage, no “API spaghetti” to detangle, no tedious backend code (e.g., database, user / file management) to write. And you never have to pay us unless your app is successful. Major companies like Johnson & Johnson and startups like Fetchnotes build apps on our platform because uptime, security and scale are never challenges with our fully managed cloud backend. Spend your nights iterating on your UX, not worrying about server maintenance or downtime. Enjoy, Tony @ Buzztouch

Wow. This is some amazing stuff. I saw this company mentioned a while back when I was looking at Singly. They are well integrated with the Google App engine. Some amazing tutorials on their site, well documented. Here's a nice article about them: http://readwrite.com/2013/06/05/google-entices-mobile-developers-to-its-cloud-by-partnering-with-kinvey#awesm=~oeuUfFTRaeqxt4 I was also looking at Anypresence.com. The Kinvey documentation says they are integrated with Parse too, so if if you have Parse in your app already this will provide even more functionality. Looking at their pricing it's $20 per month for any app with over 100 users. That won't stop me from perusing the code and learning - but I need a project to justify that monthly cost. Either way, nice work Tony and Thanks, great technology to explore.

Judging by the responses here you don't seem to be alone..... This is def stuff for the more advanced type of coder IMO. Essentially Kinvey is giving you a database and a bunch of other tools to store and manipulate data on their backend. Similar to BT hosting - except they have different classes and code that you can utilize. This might clarify it a little- look that these sample apps: http://devcenter.kinvey.com/ios/samples Look at "Status Share" for instance. If you want to build an app that lets you share posts and photos with other users - they are providing the backend and then giving you a bunch of sample viewcontrollers to look at to build the screens. One only needs to add their SDK and subclass a VC they provide that will call one of their screens - and you can have their code working within BT project. or you could just build a stand alone app on their platform. I'm trying to find time to study the new BT Android code or i'd start tearing into those tutorials. The sample apps and code I did peek at are excellent.

Hey, just wondering if there is anything new with Kinvey? I'm interested in using the back end data tools (especially the ability to save offline data then synch) and maybe user Auth. Cheers!
