How to make Splash Screen to work for Android

Hi! Everyone... I am designing my app. However, I really have a hard time to configure the Splash Screen plugin. I have been trying all day long doing this. I add a new plugin (Splash Screen) because I want my user to see a splash screen before they see the main menu. After adding the plugin, I tried to add my image on my desktop to the Screen Background Image tab inside Splash Screen menu. And then I visited the apps Global Theme then set the splash screen to the one I created in the list. However, after I download my source code, splash screen does not seem to work on my emulator. Are there any advice or any resources you can point me to? I greatly appreciate all your help in advance... Thank you.

Hard to make an educated guess from 'does not seem to work' ;) Did you add your splash screen image into your project as well? It should go in the res/drawable directory. Could we see some output from your logcat file? That would provide some information on what is happening inside your application while it's running. It would tell if the screen was loading, what resources it was using, things like that... Cheers! -- Smug

Hi SmugWimp! Thanks for your reply... Ya... I think you have pointed out what is wrong with my project. I think I haven't add my splash screen image into my project in eclipse. I don't know how to do this... Could you point me to any tutorials or any resources on how to do this? I am really desperate for help... Thank you.

You can just copy and paste the image files you want in your project in the res->drawable folder. Its as easy as that. In any case check the following links of tutorial to know more about eclipse and building android apps. Adding files to your project--- https://www.buzztouch.com/files/howtos/Adding_Files_To_A_Project_v1.0.pdf Compiling android app--- https://www.buzztouch.com/files/howtos/AndroidAPKFile.pdf

I use 320x480 for small devices and 640x960 for large devices. But you can use only 640x960 for both devices.
