Not sure. I utilize it in an app I have for Android (Google API 8 v2.2) and for iOS 5.1+, and they seem to work out fine. I haven't actually 'tested' it on an API 8 device; just my Jellybean tablet and my wife's ice cream sandwich phone. But so far it seems fine, and it's been a number of months now since it's release. "Error loading screen, app had trouble understanding what to display" sounds internal. I'd take a closer look at your configuration. It may be something within your app, not the actual plugin itself. Cheers! -- Smug

Yeah, got it sorted eventually. As a relative newbie, still getting to know some of the config and compile processes. Cheers.

@GoNorthWest, not really 100% sure, but learning that by just adding pages and making changes on BT console that not 'everything' filters through to phone via publish updates. eg. had same problem as many with basic flash screen not working, but after trolling through forum found I had to manually copy flash image file into res folder before compiling apk to phone. So now when I make any major changes to project, if it doesnt work properly after a simple console publish, I do a complete code download, check files and compile and reload to phone. This seems to fix 95% of any problems I have come accross. Cheers

Ah, I see what the issue might be! Let's say you've created an app in your control panel, and you use three unique screens (aka plugins). You download and compile your app, and all is well. Then you add a new screen (plugin) to your app via the control panel, and run the app on the device, expecting to see the new content. It fails! The reason for this is because, unless you elected to include EVERY plugin available to you the first time you downloaded the project, the project only included the plugins for screens already defined in the project. So, if you add new screens, then you need to download the project again, this time including the new code. Make sense? One way around this is, the first time you download the project, include EVERY plugin that it shows. That way you can add new functionality later, and the plugin will already be included and compiled. And if you do that, then any change you make to the control panel will automatically show up in the app. Also...if you use the BT File Manager, know that stuff you put there doesn't get downloaded with the project. It's just a place to keep track of all your project media. Hopefully this makes a bit of sense? If not, let me know, and we'll work to shore it up! Mark
