No internet connection?

When i try to upload a word document and then try to run it on the simulator it just says "Data for this sceen has not been downloaded. Please check your internet connection." why does it say that? I have uploaded all the folders to Xcode and put the word (both doc and docx files) in the BT_Docs folder in Xcode and I have also tried to upload it through Buzztouch but nothing has changed. I have re downloaded the project files but again it does nothing. Can someone help me with this?

Can you rephrase your issue a little differently? 1) Where does the document 'live'. On the internet? 2) Can you open the document with a regular browser, such as Safari, Chrome, IE, etcetera? 3) I don't think the plugin can read *.docx files; only *.doc files 4) If the file resides within Xcode, it should be able to be read. Check to make sure you've added the files correctly. And make sure your control panel lists the document name correctly, and has no 'path' attached to it. Let us know how it goes... Cheers! -- Smug

1) what do you mean "live" 2) yes i can open it on my computer and I can also see it in Xcode when I press the files that I've put in the BT_Docs folder, but it still won't work. 3) okay but I've tried both so there must be something else I'm doing wrong. It also happens with PDFs. do you by any chance know how i can fix this? I've tried everything i could think off but nothing seems to work

"live" as in, do they live on the internet, or do they live in the project. :) It's fairly straightforward 'in operation', but if you're not adding the files in the project correctly, the plugins can't find them. Check this document: https://www.buzztouch.com/files/howtos/Adding_Files_To_A_Project_v1.0.pdf and make sure you're adding the files correctly. Your project isn't finding the documents. Not a big deal to fix, we just need to figure out where they are, and have the system recognize this. Cheers! -- Smug

Based on your description at the top of this thread, it sounds like everything should be working. If you have the document in the BT_Docs folder, and that folder has been dragged over into Xcode, AND you've referenced the document in the plugin correctly (meaning just indicated the filename, minus any BT_Docs folder reference), the app shouldn't have any problem finding it. Can you paste what the debug console says when you run into this problem? It should tell us exactly what's going on. Here's a link to a guide that shows you how to get this information: https://www.buzztouch.com/files/howtos/Problem_Reporting_and_Basic_Debug_v1.0.pdf Thanks! Mark

Have you restarted the simulator after dragging the Word document into xcode? That could be the problem.

In x-code Clean Build Run may help Adding files to xcode instead of dragging can sometimes make a difference. Good luck. Mike
