JAVA errors ( I think) :-?

I am trying to import my project from buzztouch to eclipse. I have done the SDK and ADT, and every looks fine. But then I import med project it gives me three errors 1, Archive for required library: 'bin/jarlist.cache' in project 'BT_activity_root' cannot be read or is not a valid ZIP file 2, Archive for required library: 'C:/Users/Jettes/Desktop/psykiatriskkriseplan_Android/libs/._gcm.jar' in project 'BT_activity_root' cannot be read or is not a valid ZIP file 3, The project cannot be built until build path errors are resolved I can see it has something to do with the java build patt on element BT_activity_root. But I don't know what to do? Please help Jette

Hi @Jelope, Did you unzip your project before opening it into Eclipse? LA

First thing I would try : do a Project...Clean and see if that helps. That breaks any old code links that might be causing problems. If that doesn't work, then I'd download your source again, unzip it, try another import, and see if that helps. Mark

Are you on a pc or mac? The file path is pc, but the gmc jar file looks to have a mac naming convention. On pc the name should be gcm.jar. As Mark suggests, maybe re-download the source.

I re-downloadet a new file fom buzztough, now I have 4 errors 1, The project was not built since its build path is incomplete. Cannot find the class file for java.lang.Object. Fix the build path then try building this project 2, The type java.lang.Object cannot be resolved. It is indirectly referenced from required .class files 3, Unable to resolve target 'Google Inc.:Google APIs:11' 4, Unable to resolve target 'Google Inc.:Google APIs:11' I did make the source in Buzztough on my mac, and because I had some problem finding eclipse in App-store, did I use my pc to eclipse. Is that a problem? I did read about the gmc_jar file, I tryed to find the file i JAVA and change it, but it dosn't seems to work :) Jette

Couple of things to do here: * Right-click on the project, select Properties > Android, and select Google API 8 (unless you still need to download it) * Do a Project > Clean after the above step. Hopefully this'll help! I import the same project from both Windows and Mac and generally have no issues. If you still have issues, let me know, and maybe we can set up a TeamViewer session and I can check it out. Mark

Can you post a screen shot or something of the errors so we know what they are? Kinda hard to debug without that info! ;-) Mark

Save it on DropBox or something, and then link to a URL. Or, send it to me at MrkFleming at gmail dot com and I'll take a look.

Yep! All those errors are related to having the Android API selected instead of the Google API, which is required for Buzztouch projects. Right-click the project, select Properties > Android, then select Google API 8. Hit OK, Eclipse will rebuild the workspace, and those should be gone! Mark

Rock on! Great work getting it resolved. I have a video here you might be interested in. It shows how to get a Buzztouch Android project running in the Emulator, from project download all the way to it working! Give it a view! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NV3Ofi2602I&feature=share&list=UUbL5gei-5kK8hHf5q3andnw Mark
