Anyone successfully install 2.3.0 in an Android app yet?

I've tried about 6 times following the video and written instructions, just not working. Had a bunch of errors at first, pretty sure it was bad xml from scringo, fixed that. Now it seems to launch but nothing happens. Tried on emulator and S3 device. This would be pretty cool if it would work. Tim

OK, so its not just me then, I have been having issues and still haven't been able to resolve, even though when I sent my project to Scingo, they said it worked straight away and that I have done everything right. Cannot put my finger on it.

Just talked to them (Scribgo). I think the instructions on Buzz website are wrong, for an older version. Gonna redo it and take some notes on what the correct procedure is. Will post findings. Tim

If you need any assistance, you two just let me know. Also be careful, when you put the code in, it matters if your project has tabs or not. LA

That would be great Wolf, I'm assuming you are talking about Android, as iOS is fine.

Update: I've been talking with Ofer at Scringo. I've found; 1. that the step-by-step video in the How To's section is definitely wrong, close but that will never get it working with the new version of Scringo at least, and not on my machine they way I have it setup. I think it should be taken down. 2. The step-by-step instructions and download package on Scringo are lacking a few details at a minimum, just plain wrong in parts possibly. It may be that a real coder could get it working with the instructions currently published, but a hacker like myself needs better directions. We have found a couple places where the instructions are missing a few key words. Seems obvious after you figure it out, but it's not described completely in the instructions. We are still working on it. It's the weekend wherever they are so it's gonna wait a bit. When we are done the resulting instructions should allow the less Android literate to integrate it with fewer problems. @dragon - I'm pretty sure what we are going to find as a root cause of the problems is the slight, or maybe not so slight, differences in the way each development environment is setup (Eclipse or whatever). The build paths and what your instance of Eclipse does by default might be the issue. If so, a preface to the install instructions with development environment settings should be added, and those settings should be evident by the time we finish. Thanks for the offer of help guys, but I think this process will help many going forward. Tim

Update: So, we've got it working. There were a few parts of the instructions that needed some work, a file in the download that needed adjustment if you have ADT 22, AND a bug on their end that apparently prevented some interaction with their servers. Still working on ensuring everything is documented correctly, etc. so some knucklehead like myself can get it working by simply following the instructions. Will advise, hopefully today or tomorrow. Update part deux: Just heard from Scringo. 2.3.0 has been updated to 2.3.1 taking care of the bugs we found and cleaning up the install instructions so they are more "idiot proof". I have not yet installed the new package from scratch but hopefully it will all work as expected. I'll do it this afternoon to confirm myself and will post findings. If someone else has a chance before I, please let us know. Follow the install instructions on Scringo, not the video if it's still in the How To's on Buzztouch. The video steps might work now, but that hasn't been confirmed. Tim

It works as advertised now. I deleted it all and re-installed it from scratch just to be sure it works and it does so without error. If you are running ADT 22 the only additional thing you have to do, which they still haven't detailed in the instructions is, when you copy the data into the manifest, you must remove all the references to "screenSize". Just do a find/replace. After that it will build without error. Tim

So just remove a "|screenSize" from each line in the scringo code?

Not 100% sure. A call will go in the code, not XML. The in app billing is optional, if you installed the new package from Scringo (2.3.1)
