@Sheri...I had the same thought! That's just some serious, blatant copying! And how did the Apple reviewers miss a WWE reference in a Lego app?

How could someone be so smart and so frigging stupid at the same time? And this guy has access to this site, why? Just proves the knuckleheads at Apple don't really spend any time verifying anything truly important. They are not protecting us, or our work. Not impressed. Hopefully Mr. Ripoffsoft will come to the next Buzzcon. So so lame.

If you're really sorry, you'll take the apps out of the store and create your own! Saying you're sorry, but leaving them available for purchase, says that you're not really sorry. Or, you could give Alex his rightful cut...like 99% of the proceeds! We'd all love to make money with apps, but stealing other peoples work is absolutely not the way to do it. Mark

What a piece of shit! We have individuals of all professions on this site that put their hard work and effort to devoting their expertise into a productive and well bought of application and you just copy the data. You should be banned from not only Buzztouch but from Apple for intellectual property infringement. You should be ashamed of yourself.

What a legend. Takes some balls to steal an app then post it on the forum of the original owner. Has some one hacked in to change his user name, or is he really taking the piss now. lol

@ RUCHIN Needing money is one thing. Greed is another. There are enough tools on Buzztouch to generate income. Enough help on the forum to help you. Why do it this way? Why work for pennies when you can have a fortune....with a good name? Sending better thoughts your way today....hoping you will find a better direction in your life. -Sheri

While we're on the subject, how do you guys feel about someone copying an app description (metadata in ios?) almost word for word? Just the app name changed. NOT the app, just the description. It's happened to me by someone on here. If he'd asked I wouldn't have had a problem, still don't really, just a bit sad and disappointed. Maybe it's not such a big deal? dunno.. it makes me prefer to stay in semi-anonymity..

@raveyd - I think it is completely wrong and there is no excuse for it. I aksed the question about plagiarism within BT before this came up because i'd noticed the possibility of people copying BT created apps. When I first started developing on the app store 3 years ago things were very different. You would think of an idea, check the store to see if one had already been created. If so you thought, dam, missed it, move on to another idea. If not, great, i'm making that! The culture has very much changed with people seeking out what is popular and blatantly ripping it off. My morality has changed and I will now do the same. However, NEVER to someone on BT and never so blatant as to copy the app, the screenshots, the meta data. No way - It would need some tweaks, some additions. For me BT is OUT to copy, mimic or go anywhere near someones idea. It is what should help to keep this place better than the rest. I call it simple manners and basic etiquette. I have an app build that apple have rejected three times so far. I've just added another version tonight which they might reject again. I've taken a principle and made it into a commercial viability. If it gets on the store, I'd hope for success. If this happens, to my mind it has a week, then it will be ripped and bettered and will die! However, its all my own work. I'm proud of it and proud of the level of coding i've managed to bring to it. Do people that make money off the back of others ideas get that feeling?

Thank you for taking it down, Ruchin! That is a great first step. There are so many types of apps to be made, that I hope you can find a good way to make money at it without using the content created by other developers. One idea may be to make apps for clients, rather than to make money directly on the App Store. A lot of businesses need a presence in the App Store and Google Play. The businesses may see it as a relatively inexpensive way to advertise their businesses. Best wishes to you, and thank you for removing the app.

Thanks @Alex@TM, great points, agree with your thinking. I guess it's a wake-up call that the BT forum is no better, or worse, than any other forum. It's got its own share of thieves and leeches, sadly. @Rip Off Soft, well done in appearing to change your ways.

The link of his is still active, think he only took it down while this thread was active, but I see both the app and copy app live. Cheers, David https://buzztouchmods.com/hire-me
