Hello to all. Not new to programming but new to developing phone apps

Always wanted to get into building phone apps but I thought that learning curve was too steep using tools/language such as Eclipse/Java. My desire is build a at-home business developing phone apps. It seems that using BuzzTouch cuts into the learning curve.

Welcome! I think you'll find Buzztouch definitely cuts the learning curve down a lot. Be sure to keep going through the Buzztouch University courses and ask questions as you come up with them. What kind of programming did you do previously?

Welcome to Buzztouch, @sepia! You'll find that Buzztouch eliminates a huge amount of programming you need to do, and provides an excellent template on which to build new functionality. I think you'll find it the perfect platform for your needs! Don't hesitate to shout out if you have any questions. Mark

@sepia - you have indeed come to the right place! Enjoy the ride & ask away. BT is by far the place to be to accomplish your goals. Aside from cookies & milk, it's a lot like Christmas morning everyday here.

Thanks for the warm welcome. Looking forward to interacting with everyone in the forums. Chris1: Limited amount of VB.Net but mostly database programmming(T-SQL). Don't know if any of that will help here.

I still do a bit of VB.net programming in support of another leg of my business, mostly utilities that I use in house to make the overall workflow easier... Although it doesn't translate 'directly', you'll find that the structures and the 'overall' way things work to be quite similar, and you'll be familiar a lot sooner than you think. I joined in November of 2012, after a fruitless experience with an outside contractor. Having some programming experience, but absolutely zip in Objective C and Java, I released my first app on both the App Store and Google Play about 3 months later, centered around a plugin that I created. It's a big rush, let me tell you. Things aren't as difficult as they seem at first, and there is a second to none support group in the forums. You'll be fine, my friend. Cheers! -- Smug

Welcome to Buzztouch Sepia! I think you'll find the learning curve to be easier than you might have previously thought. If you want a jumpstart overview of how Buzztouch works, search youtube for "Buzztouch New User Webinar" and watch through one of them (the next live one is next Wednesday, I figured you'd rather get going now, lol). Also check out my Buzzcast podcast when you get a chance for some tips, success stories, etc. (Search iTunes for Buzzcast). Let me know if I can help out in any way! -Chris (Stobe)

@Stobie - If you're referring to Warren Evans' webinars on YouTube, I've watched a couple of them and intend to checking all of them out but, dang, they are so long. I'll be checking your podcast also. I'm sure all of them are helpful. Just eager to get started.
