Importing new android project error!

So here is the deal, whenever I import a new project I just downloaded from buzztouch I keep getting java errors: ----------------------------------------------------------------- GeoPoint point; private boolean isDeviceLocation = false; private String annotationTitle = ""; private String annotationSubTitle = ""; private double latitude = 0; private double longitude = 0; ------------------------------------------------------------------ This here being the first, Eclipse tells me: GeoPoint cannot be resolved to a point. And then there is this other message I get: ------------------------------------------------------------------ import com.google.android.maps.GeoPoint; ------------------------------------------------------------------ With the error message: The import com.google.android.maps.GeoPoint cannot be resolved. I imported the Android Java Project without any problem, and correctly. HOWEVER, I didn't manage to change the Google.API settings to 2.2, that is if they even aren't 2.2, I don't know how to check it out sadly. Anyways I hope this was enough for whoever is reading this, Best of luck, Hamza Aglan P.S: I forgot to mention that I used to get a different error message about a java class that I deleted, which then brought this up....I believe.

BT apps use google maps so you have to refer Google api and not Android api. You are getting geoPoint error because of referring to android api. To fix this right click on your project file--> properties--> android--> and the. Select google api 8 or higher. If you dont have it already then you will have to download it.

Okay, I checked and it seems I don't have it. Ill go google search it and see if I can download it. Be back in a few. On top of that, I just realized my Android SDK Manager isn't opening for some reason. The loading bar finishes and all, but nothing shows up.

Go Northwest has several tutorial videos online to help the install process. Snoop through them and see which one matches your OS/Environment... http://www.youtube.com/gonorthwest Cheers! -- Smug

No, sadly. Still trying to figure out how to make my SDK Manager work. I've looked up a couple of guides on the internet, however I still can't fix it. It seems it has something to do with my path folder to my SDK...n'stuff. Right now I'm downloading a higher JDK version, and see if it might help me in any way. Wish me luck, Hamza Aglan

This is useless. I still can't open up my SDK Manager. I downloaded the latest JDK version, and made sure the path folder was set to it. It should be working fine I believe... What am I doing wrong? Help please, Hamza Aglan

Right click Eclipse and run as administrator and see if that helps. Also, you can go into the folder and make sure your manager is in there. This for windows or mac? LA

I tried running it as administrator, didn't work though. However, I discovered that my SDK Manager, is outside my eclipse folder and sdk folder. I moved it inside my eclipse folder first, and then ran it. Gave me an error called: Failed to execute tools/android. I tried doing the same thing inside my sdk folder/tools, but still same error. I am running on windows 7 64x

It shouldn't of been outside of the folders. Try rebooting and if that don't help uninstall and reinstall. LA

Okay I uninstalled and re-installed it, but the SDK Manager was still outside both folders. I searched google for the error message I keep getting. Most of the answers were to run the android.bat itself and to open the SDK Manger from there. When I do that, a cmd comes up, lots of white lines begin to show up and then it closes instantly. I can barely read what it says. I also looked into this problem, and it seems I have to change the path to the java folder I have on my windows. I did that, but still no luck. Some people mentioned something called JAVA_HOME, I don't know what that is, so any help? Thanks again, Hamza Aglan
