New version approved - with Aurasma!

Second version of my app approved in App Store! Besides some new screens, this new version has Aurasma plugin! Thanks Kittsy for creating this plugin and providing the support in the forum. You may see it working in the following video. The intention of Aurasma in my app is that users may point their iPhones and iPads to a beer bottle and it will bring a menu with details of that specific beer and price comparison: http://youtu.be/TZbA4d4TadM I was also able to finalize the first version of this app in Android. Unfortunately without Aurasma and in this first version without the maps, only waiting for the new Android code that Buzzthouch is working on. Here are the links for the iOS and Android in the markets, in Portuguese and it's in Brazil's store, I'm not sure if you will be able to download from you countries, the app is free, with redeem codes are you able to download it from other country? iOS: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/lokobeer-sua-colecao-cervejas/id588758571?l=pt&ls=1&mt=8 Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lokobeerplus&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwyLDEsImNvbS5sb2tvYmVlcnBsdXMiXQ.. Thanks!

Parabens. Looks awesome... But one has to pay to use Aurasma, right? Cheers

That's really slick! I'm curious like MadRod... how much did it all cost? Cheers! -- Smug

@Alessandro. Very nice, and great idea. Congrats. Now to my 2 questions :-) - why isn't the app available in Canada? - where are you getting the data from? I'm thinking of doing something similar but for travel. Cheers Steve

Great Alessandro, the video is looking good. I am very surprised, I thought (like many) Aurasma cost big bucks now. It's a shame it is not available Worldwide, is it not the default setting on iTunes Connect? Congrats! Farcat

Hi! @MadRod @SmugWimp I got the Aurasma kernel just before they started charging for it, only now I was able to finalize the app I idealized. The kernel and Kittsy plugin uses Aurasma's previous version, but its features are enough for the purpose of my app. @BuzzingSteve @farcat 1. As the app is in Portuguese I defined to launch it only in Brazil and Portugal stores, I'm not sure if its the best practice it's my first app... I believe I'll be able to change to be available in other countries only in a next version. 2. I created a community in Ning (ning.com) and there I input the data of all beer brands. Then in Aurasma I create a menu that only links to each beer brand in the community. Also in the app I created many modules with the Custom URL plugin that links to this community features. Is there another possibility for me to share the app with you? With those redeem codes will you be able to install it? Thanks!

This is just excellent. Great use of AR. That trigger image to the links is excellent. Bravo. Great App/concept. This app makes me very thirsty. You are an aspiring Sommelier! Micro brews are taking over the industry. Love it. What is your Favorite Beer/Brewery? Are you just waiting on BT updated code before you take a stab at Aurusma in Android? I don't think it will change that much that you can't just load up a new BT class that references the Aurusma custom classes....

@ATRAIN53 Thanks! Yes, that's right it's an emergent market in Brazil too. From the beers in USA that you may know I like a lot Samuel Adams, Rogue, Old Rasputin from North Coast Brewing, Sixpoint, all great beers! The BT updated code for Android I'm waiting is to have the maps in the app. Sure, probably Aurasma plugin with the old kernel won't be available for Android.

Hey, but you should have it available worldwide, you got brazilian and portuguese people all around the world. I find that my portuguese apps, sell almost as well in US or France, as they do in Portugal and Brasil, this due to the number of emigrants. Cheers. Miguel

Awesome. Is Sporleder a South American brewery? Is not one I've seen @. Love Sixpoint, I have a a few Bengali Tigers sitting in my fridge. NYC Brewery. They just came out with an APP which looks weak compared to your creation and AR use. For North Coast / Cali make sure you check out Russian River Brewing and Pliney the Elder and Bear Republic Brewery and try a Racer 5. And check out Uinta Brewery out in Salt Lake City. But 3 of the best breweries are in the Midwest- 3 Floyds in Munster, IN, Boulevard Brewery in St Louis MO and Bells Brewery up in Kalamazoo, MI. now I'm thirsty ;)

@ATRAIN53 No, still don't have a Sporleder brewery, it's my surname, but it's a good idea, may be in the future I will be able to produce my own beer! I'll try to find here the beers you suggested, I'll also take a look in the app from Sixpoint you mentioned. Thanks! @MadRod You're right, I should have the app available worldwide, as it's my first app I was uncertain about the best option and practice. I'll try to do it with the actual version but I'm not sure if it's possible, but surely in the next update of the app I'll put it available worldwide. Thanks for the suggestion!
