Header transparency for Advanced Menu with Image

I am upgrading an app and making it android as well as ios by using @chris1's Advanced Menu with image. Where I had two apps before, I now have one, thanks to this plugin, which is much appreciated Chris. Everything is working, but I've stumbled across a header image issue that I can't seem to quite fix on the Android side of things. I created a png file for the header with transparent edges. Sometimes when I start the app, the borders come up transparent as intended. Sometimes the transparent border becomes black - I can't figure out why. Has anyone else seen this?

What is the background color? It should show either the background image or the background color. Jake

The background behind the header is an image - not in the least bit black!

Hmm... Maybe a re-download of the app from the control panel?

This also happens with the original app, which used menu with image plugin. The fact that it can change while the app is in use implies something, I just don't know think there is anything I can do about it. Personally, I am leaning to the theory that it is a bug.
