Scringo vs Tabatoo

Anyone want to comment on how they differ, which they prefer and why, which has better support? I know they both look great, but wanted personal opinions from people who have used both. I've only used Scringo so far, and their SDK works great (after they fixed the scroll issue - they said the detailed feedback helped them isolate the issue) - just need to get the Scringo button to show up in top right of NavBar :-) Will experiment with Tabatoo and then decide which one to use for my next app. Cheers

I haven't tried it yet. But the control panel and its options or lack of, haven't given me the motivation to test it even. Hopefully, you'll get some positive feedback from other users. I'm very curious.

Interested to see what gets written on this thread. Could have just hit subscribe but where is the fun in that. BIG fan of the Scringo guys though but I am biased as I have a relationship with them going back a wee while now.

Thanks guys. So, it's Scringo in the lead...as they start off from the gate...control panel and options are giving Scringo the edge...and as we round the first bend...Scringo pulls a surprise with the Quiz feature...not looking so good for Tabatoo...yet, Tabatoo's search function might just put some steam in it's legs...over to you guys...

I haven't checked out Tabatoo yet, but I will. I don't use scringo; If you don't have a network connection it won't quit populating the logs with reports, and it drives me nuts. Can't watch logs with it; I'd rather not have it. If tabatoo does the same thing, I won't be using it either. Cheers! -- Smug

It's hard for BT to chime in, doubt they'll take a position, the market will dictate what succeeds. Go capitalism!

@MacApple. I meant the BT developers :-) Sorry about the confusion there. So far, I think Scringo is great, but my only gripe is how it logs you as a different user every time you sign into Facebook or Twitter, and then - in the "Activity" feed, lists all the times you "signed up" - lets you follow yourself! It actually lets you follow each instance of all the times you "signed up". Me, myself, myself...uh...myself, myself....LOL They need to fix this and it will be a much better user experience.

Good points above. Have you emailed the guys about this issue? Will nudge them and make them aware of this thread. Ps have three app updates I'm working on and Scringo is key to all of them.

Yep, I sent them an email a while back and just sent another email. I'm just guessing it's not on their top priority list, but from a user experience point of view it should be :-) Cool about your apps, looking forward to trying them out :-)

@BuzzingSteve To put the Scringo activate button in your navBar: In your .m file ........ #import <Scringo/ScringoAgent.h> In your "//view will appear" method, just before the last curly brace ( } ) add ........ self.navigationItem.rightBarButtonItem = [ScringoAgent scringoActivationBarItem];

@Red Dog. Thanks. Will try again. Didn't work first time I tried it. But, I upgraded to latest Scringo SDK, so it might work this time :-) Cheers

Scringo by far, although its a pain to get going on Android for me, but iOS, Scringo really brings my apps to life.

@Red Dog. Whoohoo "Ground control, I have the NavBar button for Scringo!" I think the issue might have been due to the older version of Scringo I was using before. I also noticed an odd behaviour (sending Scringo an email) is that for iPhone if you click on the NavBar button a 2nd time then it closes the sidebar, but on an iPad it does not.

Stevemeister - Just had to share.. I recently had an incredible exchange with the Scringo folks. They were super helpful working with an issue I had & helped me resolve it. They were so easy to approach & talk through the issue. Good luck, give them a try & carry on!
