Find unused image resources in your project...

I don't work with enough images for this to be 'too' necessary... But I'm sure someone might find it handy. And it's free. http://jeffhodnett.github.io/Unused/ It finds unused image resources in your xcode project, to help keep your bundle small. Cheers! -- Smug

I wouldn't risk using this, 1. you never know when you will require the image in the future. 2. alot of the images are taken from the json, this may or not be up to date in the config, does it even check the config, I'm guessing probably not. (probably looking for nsdata, uiimage, uiimageview, extension checks)

also looking at it's pull requests, anything with imagenamed e.g [UIImage imageNamed:@"some_image_name"]; which is 90% of Buzztouches uses due to the json, aren't going to register so them images will be removed. Although it says it leaves backups this would annoy me if I ran this programme.

I was just thinking about this, lol! I ran it on one of my projects, and found all kinds of images that were referenced from my control panel, but of course, would not be referenced in the project. Not entirely safe. Cheers! -- Smug

Unfortuantely not a lot of the shortcut stuff in developer forums, github work well with xcode for use Buzztouchers. Just keep your project tidy maybe the message and motto of this post.

Shame, would have been great to have such a tool. Especially when you are experimenting with different designs it is so easy to leave an unused graphic behind...
