First App featured on App Central!

Hey everyone! I first started my Buzztouch journey of app development back in Feb. 2012. Through months of searching, asking, finding, and learning (and hard work), my first app was released on October 1st, 2012 - TGfU Games PE for iOS, an app for physical education teachers by a physical education teacher! Fast-forward to today, 3 more apps have made it to the App Store (Basketball PE, Soccer PE, & Tag Games) with another currently waiting review *fingers crossed*. Evidently, my first app was the toughest (and sweetest) of them all. It took over 10+ submissions to finally get the green light, but TGfU Games PE (https://itunes.apple.com/app/id549014086?mt=8) got the ball rolling. Today, TGfU Games PE gained a bit more exposure as it was featured on App Central, Canada's weekly television series exploring the creative and explosive world of apps. You could find the post here - http://www.appcentral.ca/2013/07/get-your-child-in-shape-with-this-physical-education-app.html As I have many times in the past, I'd just like to thank everyone at Buzztouch and all its users (have I mentioned that these are the best forums I have ever encountered? What a community!) for helping guide me along the way and I hope that I've been able to contribute a bit here and there as well! Thanks again! -Nicholas

@SmugWimp - Fiverr it is. ;) I believe he now charges a lot more for the videos, but there are still a lot of great other app video alternatives available. Experimented with quite a few, satisfied with results. @LA - Thanks, much appreciated!! -Nicholas

Well, done! This is a sweet looking app, love the video too. VERY interested in the QR-code reader :) Is that developed by you or another BT developer? Congrats and hat off re the 10+ submissions, it takes perseverance. Farcat

@Niraj, @farcat, @BuzzingSteve - Thanks guys, I appreciate it! It was also previously featured on ParticipACTION (http://www.participaction.com/enhancing-physical-education-with-technology/)! @Niraj - The video was delivered from Fiverr (http://www.fiverr.com), quite a few users offer different variations that would cater to any app as long as you provide the images/videos to go along with it. As for the QR Code Reader, I submitted the plugin in November-December of 2012. It's been in limbo ever since... I've personally used it in 3 of my apps with great success, having a QR Code Reader screen where the user can use the camera to read a QR Code or choose from a QR Code found in his/her photos. Additionally, within the plugin submission, I included a tutorial for how to incorporate reading QR Codes within documents (Word, PDF, HTML, etc.). In essence, the plugin uses the ZBar Source Code and integrates within the Buzztouch code to create the QR Reader screen. Since you brought it up, I'll inquire over its status - patience is a virtue, I guess? :) Thanks again everyone! -Nicholas

Nicholas. It might be quicker and easier (for you to update) to make the plugin available for download on your own Website, so that anyone using the self-hosted could use it. Congrats again!

Hello Nicholas, I thought I had seen a writeup somewhere about your apps before! I agree with Steve, can you send the plugin directly to us or plop onto a Dropbox? Which specific Fiverr person did you use? I like recommendations! :-) Thanks, - Niraj
