white screen in ios 6.1 simulator

I have published the app inside my buzztouch panel and downloaded the source code. However, when I load the app in xcode and run the simulator, I can see the app icon but when I click on the icon I just see a white screen. There is no splash screen and no rss feed plugin showing. What have I missed?

Have you copied the JSON Data (Configuration Data) from the control panel to BT_Config.txt? You can accomplish this by clicking "Refresh" in the right hand corner of the home screen. Before you submit your app to Apple, remember to copy the Live config data to the BT_Config.txt, clean the build, then archive. I hope this helps, Jake

Have you followed the 'instructions.pdf' file that is included in the download package? Have you viewed any of the BTU Videos which show you how to proceed? Cheers! -- Smug

Yes, I have read the instructions.pdf file. It says..."Adding Documents, Video, Sound, and Images to the Xcode project may or may not be required, it depends on some choices you made in the control panel. " What choices? I uploaded the images through the control panel as far as the text says in the control panel they should have been included in the package. Still does not explain why there is no rss feed. Seems to all work online and the download package is inside of xcode but nothing else seem to work!

Well, until you're familiar with how it all goes, it's probably best if you add everything. It's what I usually do anyway, and I know what's up. Some things are 'always' needed. Somethings are up to you. With that in mind, all of the 'core' BT Modules are already in your xcode 'package'. However 5 directories are not; BT_Plugins, BT_Docs, BT_Sound, BT_Video, and BT_Images. Those will need to be added to your project for things to start working 'correctly'. All of the images you uploaded in your control panel, they did not get included with your package. Add 'those' to the BT_images directory. Same for any HTML Pages, or any content that you uploaded in the control panel. they didn't get downloaded. You have to add those manually. I know it might be maddening or frustrating at first, but it will make sense why some things are done the way they are. And don't hesitate to ask questions. It's how we learn stuff :) Cheers! -- Smug

Hmmm... If it works for an iPhone, and not for an iPad (simulator, device, whatever...) then I'm guessing that the plugin was not made for an iPad. However, that's only a few. Most of them are iPad compatible. The log entries you've shown don't give me much information, and I'm not 'entirely' sure what your situation is.... can you rephrase it, or add some more detail to your explanation? Cheers! -- Smug

Hi Smug, thanks for the quick reply, the problem solved now, i just have to rebuild the code from buzztouch, download then compile again. Last time, in iphone mode i made some changes in gui and just refreshing the content from the simulator. I am not quite sure why the iPhone and iPad is different, its just basic app with standard plugin. and fyi,and i must unzoom the app in my osx using ⌘+3 or ⌘+2 to see the app.
