Eclipse Setup for Multiple Marketplaces?!

I'm sure from the title its hard to understand. Here is my question for developers who submit to various android marketplaces. Do you setup a new workplace for those marketplaces and create a new separate app for each. Right now my Eclipse workspace has all of my android apps and if for example want to publish for Amazon, I use the same BT code and modify it to work for the kindle save it and then undo the changes.. Obviously that doesn't make much since but because I'm change very few things such as the Android Targets and remove references to Google or non-applicable api's. So what do you guys do? I've been lazy to create a separate app just to make it compatible for all marketplace, sdks and rules. Thanks!

I really haven't focused too much on Android as of lately, although I'll be ramping back up soon. I've only been distributing through the Google Play store, although I might look into other stores as time permits. That said, I only create one version of the app. Cheers! -- Smug

I usually keep the main source code file in a different location and then i have set up different work spaces for different stores in my eclipse. Whenever i want an app in a particular store, i go to that work space and then import the main source code file of that app to that work space. I then keep a copy of that app in that particular work space's folder.

Thanks guys! So @sandeep .. I'm confused. Updating Eclipse recently has me turned upside down I'm afraid. The very first default workspace I have does not contain all of my project. Only from the past few that I've added after the update. So the files exist in their respective folder /appname/app/android/mainsourcecodefolder If I need to overwrite any files I go directly there. I guess you have your mainsource folder is that above and if you're in the default workspace: your project name: NewGooglePlay project exist here. Next if you've decide to make an app for Amazon you create a new workspace AmazonProjects. You import from your mainsourcefolder and any changes or images they exist in the : AmazonProjects workspace?? thanks and sorry for my confusion

Yes, sort of. For bt apps i download the source file in one folder named Main Source, i keep the source code file like that without any change (in zip format). Then suppose if i want to publish that app on google play store, i import that zip file in my eclipse (in the google playstore workspace). Then i make changes to project according to play store needs. The file is saved automatically in the google playstore workspace folder. I follow same steps for other stores by opening relevant workspaces and then importing the main source code in that workspace. Even i updated the sdk and google dependencies recently couple of days back. The new revision of android sdk (22.0.1) caused some problems to me but now thats fixed. Lately the java too is causing problems. I updated my mac with java couple of months back and that update caused me lot of trouble. It did not allow me to sign the apk file unless i tried about 10-12 times. The bug is now fixed and i am relieved. I am really considering to use android studio and leave using eclipse for these reason. but am not so sure weather android studio is bug free...

Thanks Sandeep. Will do the same moving forward. because it is very hard to keep track. one other question. do you start over anew in terms of versions? Because stores like Amazon ask if it has been released elsewhere and I have been releasing the app in its current version based on the initial store that i set up. Google play - thanks!
