Dani, Tabatoo's developer advocate, at your service

Hello all, This is just to let you know that we are here at your service. The Tabatoo monetization sidebar generates an additional revenue stream from your app that is non intrusive and work side by side with your other monetization tools. Revenues are based on mobile search and an offer wall that are both using the new real estate of the sidebar. You don't need to compromise on the user experience. So, any issue you may have, post it here and we'll be happy to assist you and the rest of the community. I'm also available to take your private messages. Interested in learning more? Visit us at www.tabatoo.com Looking forward to it, Dani. Dani Bensser | Developer Advocate | [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> | skype: dani.bensser | twitter : @TabatooMobile

Hi @jawdoss In order to make it easier to grasp, we've uploaded a Tabatoo sample buzztouch app code which can be found here:https://github.com/Tabatoo/Tabatoo-BuzzTouch-demo-android Search for the "//Tabatoo" comments. It appear right in front of every piece of code you have to add. So copy and paste those pieces of code to your same file. Just remember to change the AppID to your AppID. If you encounter any problem, do let me know. Cheers, Dani.

Oh.. Let me try again.. Look for the //Tabatoo comments on the BT_activity_base.java file only. You can find it here: https://github.com/Tabatoo/Tabatoo-BuzzTouch-demo-android/blob/master/src/com/tabatoodemo/BT_activity_base.java If you can be more specific with the difficulties you face in adding those lines, I'll be more than happy to look into your code and help you. Cheers, Dani.

I have put the code in the right places. I have some red crosses (hate these now). When i hover over them they say "the import com.tabatoo cannot be imported" "MultiDirectionSlidingDraw cannot be resolved to a type" "Tabatoo cannot be resolved to a type" "Duplicate method onBackPressed() in type BT_Activity_base" "overrides andorid.app.Activity.onBackPressed"

My assumption is that the jar file was not added to the build path properly. Just to make sure, lets repeat this step again (it is necessary when you import any library to make sure it is included in the project build path). 1) find the tabatoo-android-sdk jar file on the libs folder in Eclipse 2) right click on the file->Build Path->Configure Build Path 3) on the window that got opened, Go to Libraries tab, press the Add JARs button 4) on the pop up, click on the tabatoo-android-sdk jar file that is under your project name, in the libs folder. Press OK here. Ok on the build path window to exit Now, check if those errors are still there. Regarding the "duplicate method onBackPressed" error. Please double check that you don't have two of those methods. It may be that you copied the OnBackPressed from the sample code but did not delete the original method. Can you check if you have two of those on the same file? Let me know if that helped. Thanks, Dani.

Good to hear. Just make sure you also add the few lines of code to the manifest file. Once you are done, run your app and watch the monetization side bar handle appears to the left of your app. You can change its location or appearance to fit the look and feel of your app. Tapping on it or swiping it to the right will present you with the bar content. It includes both engagement and monetization widgets. Those generate you with additional revenues as well as leave users for longer in your app and allow them to better communicate with you or with other users in your app. You can customize the entire experience in the admin panel on the Tabatoo website. No need to update the app code for that. Content will be updated on the fly. So, what is your app about? Send me a link when you are done. Good luck, Dani.

Look at the sample manifest file here: https://github.com/Tabatoo/Tabatoo-BuzzTouch-demo-android/blob/master/AndroidManifest.xml You need to add this line where BuzzTouch added the following comment: "<!-- remaining activities are for individual plugin types -->" So it will look like: <!-- remaining activities are for individual plugin types --> <activity android:name="com.tabatoo.slidingbar.TabatooBrowserActivity" android:icon="@drawable/icon" android:label="@string/app_name"/> Dani.

Few things to check: 1) Your app is of BuzzTouch "Tabbed Layout" or "Non-Tabbed Layout"? This implies to the BuzzTouch files are active. 2) In the Android integration guide, double check you copied all code. It should be 5 pieces of code you copy&pasted to your java files (as per steps 3 and 4 in the guide). Look for the "//Tabatoo" comments in your code and double check you have 5 of those. Dani.

@jawdoss, @Daniel Just to be on the safe side, I created a new Android BT app and added Tabatoo on it from scratch, copy&pasting the lines of code from the integration guide. It works just fine to me. Can you pls send me by mail ([email protected]) the two files in which changes are made which are: BT_acitivity_base.java and AndroidManifest Thanks Dani.

Hi. I want to update you with how to solve this known configuration issue: Setup: Building a BT app with Tabatoo SDK using Mac, Eclipse and ADT (Android Developer Tools). Symptom: not being able to build the app in that setup to show the Tabatoo sidebar. In some cases, app crash on runtime. On LogCat it says: "java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com.tabatoo.slidingbar.Tabatoo" Issue is a known issue: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/16585964/class-not-found-error-after-updating-adt-and-android-sdk-tools-to-latest-ver-22 It is not clear in which version it started and if there was a fix since Way to solve it: On Eclipse: -Go to Project/Properties -On the opened window, go to Java Build Path/Order and Export -Select All -Press OK and exit -Clean project to rebuild and run it No need to download a new Tabatoo version as this is not related to the Tabatoo jar file but to the way private jar files are used on Eclipse/ADT. If anyone still face any issues when building on a Mac, ping me here or privately on [email protected] Thanks, Dani.
