Hello, When someone uses this, is it suppose to attach the app to the sms or do you include the link to your app in the sms. also for google play is there a way to create a short link to your app instead using the entire search thread? thanks Howard

The way I understand it, is that it allows you to configure a 'predetermined' message. That message 'could' be a link, but you're the one configuring the message, so any links would be your responsibility. https://www.buzztouch.com/docs/v1.5/screen_shareSms.php I'm not sure I understand your second question... my google play app link is 'fairly' short... https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.duanepahl If you change your app name (com.whatever) to the end of the same URL, it might work out for you... Cheers! -- Smug

Hi Howard This plugin is very basic, it is just about sharing a simple text message, which can be pre-filled. SMS (short message system is what I believe it stands for) is just about unformatted text messaging, nothing fancy. If you did try to format a link into the message, most phones would not do anything if you tried clicking on it. If however you try to share via email, you can embed html links, which would be click-able. If you wanted to shorten the link, there are free services out there and they would also provide tracking too - just google for "short url". Good luck, Alan

Hi I just found out some smartphones do allow clickable sms's to launch a browser - I didn't realise some devices could do that, so ignore what I said about most phones not doing that, most phones sold today are smartphones - so I sit corrected. Still worth noting that the capability to process hyperlinking in SMS texts will be dependent on what the target device is capable of; I wouldn't be sure that older phones like my trusty old Nokia will give the result you are after.

You can use Bitly.com service to cut short your app URL ;)
