Plugins cannot be directly loaded

Tried multible ways. Tried fetching directly from my buzztouch acc and system just continiously says loading and nothing happens. Tried uploading a plugin I have downloaded and get this: Error Saving Archive. The file archive uploaded OK but it could not be saved to the file system? Filepermissions are OK Anybody?

@kimholm: I have had this issue also. What I did was downloaded the plugins from the "Plugins" tab on the Buzztouch website. 1. Go to: http://www.buzztouch.com/plugins 2. Click the plugin you would like to download 3. Click "Self Hosted Version" 4. Click "Download Package" This will give you the zip of the plugin you are trying to download. If you are using Safari as a web browser, I highly recommend going to Safari Preferences, and unchecking the box, "Open Safe Files after Downloading", this will keep the zip files zipped and ready for upload to your control panel. I hope this helps, Jake

Hi Jake Thank you for a fast ansver. BUT, I have already tried that and I have also tried unzipping the plugin so I didn't have both versions and then rezipped the plugin without the mac version.

Hi @kimholm, recently i set up self hosted cp for one of my bt friend and i too did face the same problem. When i investigated in to the matter i found that the physical path of the server was missing in the server settings. I think you too might be having the same problem. First check whether the physical path is automatically filled up when you were setting up the self hosted cp on your server. In your admin cp just go to Server Settings---> Application Directories, File Locations and check whether the Application Install Physical Path is filled up automatically. If not (which i think is the case here), ask your hosting support team about what might be your servers physical path. It can look like this- /var/chroot/home/content/36/10386496/html/BT-Server. (The last value is of the folder in which i installed bt server. Name of folder was BT-Server) Once you get this physical path then open the config.php file using ftp for editing and then look for line no- 43 which will look like this- define("APP_PHYSICAL_PATH", "YOUR_APP_PHYSICAL_PATH"); now you have to replace YOUR_APP_PHYSICAL_PATH with the physical path of the directory in which you installed the self hosted bt cp. For eg. the line will look like this (remember you have to ask your hosting support team about the physical path and then put it there. following is just an example)- define("APP_PHYSICAL_PATH", "/var/chroot/home/content/36/10386496/html/BT-Server"); Now save the config.php file and the ftp client will reupload the edited file. After that check the Server Settings on your self hosted cp for the Application Install Physical Path. Thats it. Now you will be able to upload the plugins on your self hosted cp.

I had the same issue today after I installed my self hosted server. I am glad I saw this post. I followed Sandeep's directions above and it fixed it. I am able to also do the install directly from self hosted server, so that is pretty good. Thanks Sandeep!

Hi all As stated earlier I got some of the problems solved thx to sanddep, but still one problem exists. When I try to either upload or load Plugins directly, I get this: The file archive uploaded OK but it could not be saved to the file system Any suggestions?

Have you tried a reinstall of the BT_Server package? Jake
