Good question, and i would love to see more responses. Right now I prefer RevMob. I'm wondering if charging for an app, against the grain of free apps with ads, would work.

Hi, Daniel. Yes, I'd like to reduce my reliance on ads. What other options do we have? Would be great to know what more people think.

I have been using about 10 different ad providers to find my fit. I have now narrowed it down to three, who offer great payments. Please keep in mind that without traffic i your app, you will get discouraged, so if your app is for a business and they are not advertising it, then of course the numbers are going to be low. 1. Revmob - great using the pop up, local notification and full screen ads 2. Admob - (you must have good traffic) I didn't have much luck in the past until my apps got traffic. 3. Scringo - (New Player) Many ways to earn money and quick. If you need a social layer in your app, with user interaction, this is the best to use. I have been blown away from the numbers I have seen in the past two weeks. One reason you can make good money with Scringo is because it's new. So the advertisers are paying top dollar to display ads. So get in the game early. The models above work best for free apps. I currently have a paid game app that sells for .99 cents and it's good to learn the in's and out's as well as the user tricks that they play on you trying to cancel your app and think they will get it free. Not the case. Just my 2 cents. Hope this helps.
