I have informational videos that I want packaged with the app. I installed the plug-in At53 video player, but am missing something. I am not self hosting, so my package is hosted on Buzztouch. 1. Screen Nickname - I have created an At53 video player screen named "Getting Ready" 2. Top Nav -I have not altered the top navigation. 3. Video File Location - The video name is gettingready.mp4. Since I can't upload the video to buzz touch, I entered the name but did not select it. (later I play the actual file in the media folder on my computer and in Xcode. 4. Video Image - I selected the image msgettingready_psmith57.png 5. I didn't add anything to Description, Finished Option, Login, Background Color or Image. 6. I published, downloaded and unzipped the new package. 7. I made sure my image, plugin, media, and document folders are populated. 8. I used the app file in my package folder to open the project in Xcode. 9. I dragged my image, plugin, media, and document folders onto the project in Xcode 10. After getting no errors I build for the iPhone 6 simulator. 11. All screens of the app work except the "Getting Ready" video screen which is completely blank. What step have I missed? I did not purposely import the MediaPlayer Framework into my project. But when I look at the project in Xcode MediaPlayer.framework is listed. It contains one folder called Headers which contains 17 files including MediaPlayer.h. Do I need to change anything? Jane Comments Hi LA, Thanks for your quick response. I put the actual mp4 file into the folder in my package called BT_Video (which sits on my desktop atm). Then when I started the project in Xcode, I dragged that folder into the project (as I do for BT_Images, _PlugIns etc.) And I can play the video from inside Xcode. Does the project not know how to find it in the folder BT_Video? Should it just be floating at the root level of the project? Any other suggestions? Jane Comments Thanks Danny. Now drag all the folders (BT_Video, BT_Sound, BT_Images, BT_Plugins and BT_Docs - from the unzipped file) into your Xcode project. Make sure Destination and targets are checked. After this drag you videofile into the BT_Video folder and make sure Destination and targets are checked. This should work (unless you have done something wrong in the controlpanel). Hope this helps. I am trying to add a video to my app and have installed the plug-in "At53 video player." The video shows and plays in Xcode but does not play in the iPhone simulator. I want the video to be in the app on the user's device rather than linking to a website. Trying to follow Danny's advise above I have - Downloaded a freshly published package from buzztouch - Opened the project file in Xcode - Dragged all the folders (BT_Video, BT_Sound, BT_Images, BT_Plugins and BT_Docs - from the unzipped file) into the Xcode project - First I did this with the folders empty. Then I put my video into the BT_Video folder on my desktop (from the unzipped file), then dragged the video from there into the BT_Video folder in Xcode. - When that didn't work (project builds without problem but video screen is blank), I then deleted BT_Video from Xcode, did a clean (CMD + SHIFT + K), then re-added the BT_Video folder with the video already in there. I checked destination and target both times (even though buzztouch instructions do not say to check destination) - Still I can play the video from within Xcode but in the simulator the screen is blank Any suggestions on how I can get my video to play? Is it a problem that I am NOT self hosting? Below is the "output" from Xcode, which doesn't mean anything to me but might reveal my error to others. Thanks for your help. A quick recap. I am trying to add a video to my app and have installed the plug-in "At53 video player." The video shows and plays in Xcode but does not play in the iPhone simulator. I want the video to be in the app on the user's device rather than linking to a website. Trying to follow Danny's advise above I have - Downloaded a freshly published package from buzztouch - Opened the project file in Xcode - Dragged all the folders (BT_Video, BT_Sound, BT_Images, BT_Plugins and BT_Docs - from the unzipped file) into the Xcode project - First I did this with the folders empty. Then I put my video into the BT_Video folder on my desktop (from the unzipped file), then dragged the video from there into the BT_Video folder in Xcode. - When that didn't work (project builds without problem but video screen is blank), I then deleted BT_Video from Xcode, did a clean (CMD + SHIFT + K), then re-added the BT_Video folder with the video already in there. I checked destination and target both times (even though buzztouch instructions do not say to check destination) - Still I can play the video from within Xcode but in the simulator the screen is blank Any suggestions on how I can get my video to play? Is it a problem that I am NOT self hosting? Below is the "output" from Xcode, which doesn't mean anything to me but might reveal my error to others. Thanks for your help.
