HTML doc issue

Hello, I am testing on my android device and had used the HTMl doc plugin. However, once i used it and users click on the tab that should go to the HTML page (which is on dropbox) it just says file found at http://dropbox.... etc and you will be directed there automatically.... However its does go there.... ANy ideas on why? I made sure the dropbox link worked by manually typing it into Url bar

hi, if its just an html page you want tol open like a webpage then using a custom url screen and just use the dropbox link (make sure it is a public link) and it will display just like a webpage. is this what you are trying to acheive?

Hi @Golfba11, Put the html document into your downloaded folder and it should cache. LA

OK. You could include the doc in your project instead of calling it via URL. Or you could paste the code into a custom HTML screen and set it to allow cached in advance settings. This way it would download from buzztouch on first run and be cached for offline use . All the best :-)

Hmmm... I have a tonne of files so I dont want to make to put them in the project itself... What I did was convert Word Docs to HTML docs and then saved those to dropbox...

how much MB of data are in the docs? if cached for offline use your app will take up more space on phones memory anyway so may be better to include in project to begin with, but if you want to go the dropbox route then make sure you have a "public" link and not a standard dropbox link in order to make it display the page. unsure how it would cache though? best of luck.

I just figured it would somehow cache because the plugin desription said it would=) There is about 60MB of data in text files, but no one would actually open them all up so if they were cached it wouldnt exceed 50mb... I did make sure I have public dropbox and tested the public URL on Windows IE and Safari... which worked fine
