Duplicate an ios project on android!

Yo!! I'm nearing completion of a commercial app which I need to replicate on android. Can anyone give me some useful tips on how to do this painlessly as a seasoned apple developer and a first timer on android please?! Many thanks

Well, buzztouch already provides you the source code for both Android and iOS from the same control panel. You can just download and compile, and see what it looks like. Or, are you needing to move it to a different control panel or something? Mark

And here's a step-by-step, start-to-finish guide to Android: https://www.buzztouch.com/files/howtos/buzztouch_For_Android-A_Users_Guide.pdf Mark

Cheers mark. The sort of things I'm wondering about are image sizes etc. Do you use different sized images with the same name, for example? Many thanks

Take a look through that guide...it explains quite a bit. For file names, everything needs to be named using the a_z0_9 naming convention, which means no capitals, spaces or special characters. You'll find that things look drastically different from your iOS application...so much so, you might consider starting a new app so you can make changes to it, and not have them affect the iOS version (which will happen if you use a single control panel). I've had success doing it both ways...totally depends on the app. Best thing I can say is download your source, get it compiled and running, and make an assessment on what you might need to do. Could work perfectly the first time, or you might find out that not all your plugins are supported on Android. But at least you'll know. Mark

Yep, there's a simulator. The document I referenced above discussed how to set that up. Also, take a look at my YouTube channel. I have tons of videos on every step of the Android process: https://www.youtube.com/user/GoNorthWest Mark

Sounds good! Get prepared for a rough slog...Android is nothing like iOS, and you'll initially be disappointed in how your app looks. But post here with any questions, and we'll get you all fixed up! Mark

Thanks again! I'm being ultra optimistic that its gonna look great! The reality is it will look horrible, I'm sure! I will try and figure it all out before asking! Appreciate it, cheers mark :)
