I have this error: Description Resource Path Location Type Unexpected namespace prefix "xmlns" found for tag RelativeLayout act_title.xml /BT_activity_root/res/layout line 16 Android Lint Problem does anyone knows what causes this???

I can't say. Android is still a big mystery to me, for the most part. I 'can' say that while developing in Android, and while creating layouts, if 'my' layout isn't right, sometimes it seems to rip apart every other layout in the project, for an unknown reason. I then undo whatever I did, clean my project, and that usually puts things back right again. And then I proceed, after googling whatever it was I was trying to do... Those namespaces represent some definition of the object, but I'm a bit fuzzy on the whole thing, and don't want to taint you with bad information... Good Luck; I hope you find your issue! In the act_title.xml file, (in the res > layout folder), on line 16 will be this line (hopefully!): xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" remove that whole line and do a project > clean Since a recent update the android sdk doesn't like adding a schema to an inner component, so all those line can be safely removed, except the main schema at the top of the file. I think you can probably just do a project > clean and it'll be ok for a while, but you'll keep getting the error popping up unless you remove the code. *edit* Did the homework last week when I was getting the identical problem!
