Dream Codes

Hey I was having fun with some of these code snippets in html custom/text plug in! TO embed a pdf with a google doc viewer was super easy. Check it out! http://www.dreamtemplate.com/dreamcodes/documentation/index.html

Dude. You have no idea. This is right where I'm at, developing my developer web site and app support pages. This is a great help. Thank you.

I have noticed that some of these, I think, require membership to their parent site, in order to get the js and css files that some of them require. But, for those items that don't require js/css, it's a goldmine! Mark

It looks like its $60 for membership. http://www.dreamtemplate.com/features.shtml Can I use this framework in other projects? No. DreamCodes contains 3rd party code libraries that have been licensed for use only in DreamTemplate, ThemeLand & TemplateAccess products. Fortunately some of them are just ways to craft links to other sites and present information in certain ways. For instance, the embed PDF link: <!-- DC PDF Embed Start --> <iframe src="http://docs.google.com/viewer?url=http://pimg.co/sc-samples/sample.pdf&embedded=true" style="width:600px; height:500px;" frameborder="0"> Your browser should support iFrame to view this PDF document</iframe> <!-- DC PDF Embed End --> Parameters: --------------------- url - path to PDF file embedded (true/false) - embed into page width - width of pdf frame height - height of pdf frame No actual framework used there, and it's a link to Google Docs. This one should be free to use anywhere.

The PDF embed is a nice google doc screen. But still wish I had a way of searching text in a PDF screen

I don't think you can, unless you use those templates in an iOS project. But, again, I think that applies only to the ones that use their actual framework. The example I gave above, and others that have no CSS/JS component, should be exempt. Mark

Those are just web templates like Wordpress and Joomla- Except being flat web templates - there's no backend CMS to go with the site like a WP or Joomla install gives you. That Dreamcode is shorthand 'code' they wrote and designed to work with their templates. That not some new open source/standard css/html language everyone can use - it's proprietary stuff. It's like dropping inline CSS in your html and their dreamcode will format it. $60 they give you all this for a full year- http://www.dreamtemplate.com/features.shtml You can downlaod as many of those templates/fonts and logos and use them however you want in as many of your projects - iOS, Android or just straight up websites. Not a bad deal. for mobile stuff - I would look more at their RESPONSIVE templates here, those will look and work best in your mobile apps. http://www.dreamtemplate.com/responsive-website-templates.shtml

Thanks atrain I think I'll sign up and try the sliders. I just love the transitions. I would like to set up the sliders horizontally.

If you just want a jquery slider - there are a TON of great free ones out there you can add to your website- http://inspiretrends.com/free-jquery-sliders/ http://splashmagazine.com/2013/01/jquery-image-slider/ Horizontal sliders are def not the "norm" but I have seen some in use. Let me know what you find/like there, I have a need for one myself. Make sure you use a RESPONSIVE one so that it looks good and resizes the images in your in your mobile app properly.
