Eclipse ADT error

Fellow BuzzTouchers, it seek high and low for an explanation and solution without any success. When I try to launch my project in the Eclipse emulator I get this message: "The resource 'BT_activity_root'in not accessible for laundhing." Has anybody came across this? How did you solve it. BuzzTouch Forum members, I will be grateful for assistance. Thanks in advance.

Are you sure your project is set to Google API 8? Does the BT_activity_root.java file show any red errors?

Here's a start-to-finish guide that might help you as well: https://www.buzztouch.com/files/howtos/buzztouch_For_Android-A_Users_Guide.pdf Chris is probably exactly right, though! Mark

Thanks for the responses Chris and Mark. My project is set to Google API 8. My BT_activity_root.java file does NOT show any red errors. When I setup my Eclipse development Environment I followed the process instructions to the letter. I also listened to and followed Mark's 20 min videos on the Eclipse ADT installation as well as the "How To" process as suggested by Mark. (I even made coffee when the AVD manager took it time.... a little humor is sometimes good and relaxing !) Anyway, here is the output in my Eclipse's console window. [2013-06-11 19:45:17 - BT_activity_root] ------------------------------ [2013-06-11 19:45:17 - BT_activity_root] Android Launch! [2013-06-11 19:45:17 - BT_activity_root] adb is running normally. [2013-06-11 19:47:36 - BT_activity_root] Failed to install BT_activity_root.apk on device 'emulator-5554! [2013-06-11 19:47:36 - BT_activity_root] (null) [2013-06-11 19:47:37 - BT_activity_root] Launch canceled! The lines after "BT_activity_root] Installing BT_activity_root.apk..." are red. The emulator did show my project correctly once. Subsequent three attempt were NOT successful. Is it possible my java and or Eclipse environments? If, on advise, I have to uninstall Eclipse and re-install it I comply. Cheers GOOD guys...see you later in this forum. Steve

Couple of things I would do: * Run a Project > Clean, and then build again. That will break any old code links that might be causing problems. * Let us know what's showing in LogCat at the time it fails. From what you posted, it appears the apk is being uploaded, but failing to install for some reason. I've had that happen when my emulator runs out of space. If you've installed this earlier, you could try deleting it from the emulator first. Mark

Mark Thanks a million ! Just what the doctor ordered...run project "clean" again and again and again. With this level of BuzzTouch SUPPORT and SERVICE I will very soon migrate from a Guest to a Member. Must just sort out the Visa situation. Steve

Glad you got it worked out! When it doubt, clean it out! It doesn't hurt anything, and breaks old links that might be causing problems. Rock on! Can't wait to see the member badge next to your name! Mark
