Layouts

First Thanks for the help getting started. I can load my app in eclipse and run AVD easily. I have a couple of blank screens in my BT APP that I would like to modify in the eclipse environment. Is it possible and how do I do it? I just watched the configuration tutorial. Do I reference the blank screens by using the id from the config file? Thanks Vinny

It sort of depends on 'what kind' of 'blank screens' they are; most of the time you reference an document in your 'dataURL' field in the plugin/screen control panel. This works for both iOS and Android. In a nutshell: 1) Create several screens, one of them being a 'menu' screen. 2) Add the 'other' screens as menu selections in your menu screen 3) Choose the 'menu' screen as your 'home' screen in 'Layout' 4) Add content to your other screens, typically via the control panel for that screen 5) Download the app package 6) Add your graphics, audio, and other documents (html, pdf, whatever) to your app 7) Compile and Test 8) Release and Grin Check out some of the cool tutorials in the 'How To' section of the BT Website, and take a look at the video tutorials by GoNorthWest, Chris1, and others on youtube. (Search them by username; it usually works, or use 'buzztouch' as a search term) Cheers! -- Smug

By blank screens, do you mean you have some iOS-only plugins in your app so in Eclipse they show as blank? If so, you can use my Menu Image Advanced plugin to choose to display menu rows only for one platform or the other.

Ah yes. Chris is right on the money with that point too; some plugins are not made for both iOS and Android. In fact, there are more iOS only plugins than cross compatible plugins. You may be referencing a plugin not made for Android, which might lead to issues (unless you consider Chris' fine advice. His plugin costs little, and the headache he saves is well worth it).
