How to test my app on my iphone before submitting to Apple store

Hi, I want to test my app on my device before submitting to app store. I checked a lot of tutorials on web, but unfortunately they are very confusing. Can anyone suggest me a simple way to achieve this? Thanks in advance,

Hi Adnan, The first question I have is...are you a member of the Apple Developer Program? Because you'll need to be in order to get your development certificates, which allow you to test on an actual device. It'll set you back $99/yr, and is also necessary in order to get your provisioning certificates to be able to submit to iTunes. Assuming you have that, you'll just need to create, download and install your development certificates. You can Google for a tutorial on that, and Apple has some good ones as well. Then you just connect up your device, and it'll be recognized by Xcode. Then, where you normally select a simulator, you pick you device. Make sure you sign the app with your development certificate. Again...Apple has some good tutorials on this. Mark

Ha... code signing issues, we've all been there. :) On you project click on "project"- "build Settings" and then scroll down to "Code signing" you will see where "Any IOS SDK" needs to match a profile. Same for Targets. It's a bit tricky to get it right, here are a few posts that will help you: https://www.buzztouch.com/forum/thread.php?tid=61A1A3FE69618F50D637C68&command=isSearching&currentPage=1&topicTitle=code%20signing&createdBy=&repliedBy=&minViews=-1&maxViews=-1&minReplies=-1&maxReplies=-1&forumCategory= http://btugwiki.com/index.php/Code_Signing_Basics http://www.openframeworks.cc/setup/iphone/ Good luck! Great! That's one of the trickiest parts to learn in the beginning IMO. Glad you got it working!

Does anyone know if there is a way of testing apps on a device when you are not near the machine you are working on? I am working on windows but im designing my app on my apple in South Africa, logging onto my machine in SA remotely from the UK everyday. Once my app is ready, if i join Apple Developers and get the certificates, Will they only be on that machine or will i be able to borrow a mates apple to do the tests on?
