Setting Up A New Rackspace Server

Hi all, Does anyone know of any simple guides to setting up a new server? When i say simple, i mean a guide that explains everythign including the technical terms? I am reletively new to servers and when i tried to get a new server at Rackspace, i didn't know what options to choose!? How much space i would use etc. Thanks in advance!

First place to look would be the tutorials up in the BT 'How To' section (https://www.buzztouch.com/resources/) there are a few in there quite pertinent to setting up your self hosted config. Some things may have changed; take a close look at your config file for BT 2.1.8; if the docs don't specifically cover 2.1.8, remember there are 'extra' fields in the config that need to be populated, that might not be in the installation script. And if you have issues, stop back by and let us know where you're having an issue. Cheers! -- Smug

Shouldn't need a ton of space, unless you're using it for more than just BT. Web space is primarily a concern for people uploading lots of videos or high-res photos to their website. Just make sure you can open the proper outgoing ports for push notifications.
