one control panel app with different content

hi i wanted to ask a question, since i find it time consuming to make apps one by one, and all myapps are same model : can i make one app in buzztouch control panel , then when compiling with eclipse , only change the HTML files of my app inside ? i mean having one standard app the contains HTML files, and then when i compile , i make different apps from the model. thanks

It is possible. Not probable, but possible. In my experience, It still might require some effort on your part. Sorry we couldn't automate that. Cheers! -- Smug

If everything you need to change from one app to the next is in eclipse, then I guess so. All you have to do is duplicate the project build in eclipse and you have two projects.

This is actually really easy to do if your filenames are all the same. Just build the app once how you like it, then copy the bt_config.txt file and store it online. You can then point new apps to the stored bt_config.txt. I do this all the time, as I make apps for churches that are very similar to each other. I use php to generate the JSON so that I can easily introduce changes between apps, but you don't need to get that advanced depending on your goals.

Do you think you'll need the php solution, or can you get by with the same layout, filenames, etc on all apps? If the latter, it's really easy. You'll of course want to change the 'content' of things like html files while keeping the same filename.

well i can bypass filenames problem by using number instead of names for example 1.html 2.html 3.html of course each file will be different from one app to the other , content as well as images and background. i want same layout since all my apps content one index.html file linking to all my other pages of the app. problem is what shall i modify after making a copy of the project in eclipse?? my apps shall be published on google play and i dont wanna make a false step !

Sorry for the delay in responding. It's been a crazy week at my new job. So if everything is exactly the same (as in filenames, screen configurations, etc), then you theoretically don't have to modify anything other than the app name/icon. Just copy in that app's versions of 1.html, 2.html, etc. When you make changes to the master copy (probably from the control panel), all your apps done this way will get the same change.
