It's a miracle- I finally get to post under this topic!

Approved for the App store! Yes, after months of late night tinkering, dozens of frantic forum posts and emails, and only because I got endless help from: David ian chris1 GoNorthWest MrDavid PSMDanny AlanMac SmugWimp mysps Sheri Fred@mySkylla com MGoBlue and many others. I have to say this is the most amazing community ever. I've asked every bone-headed, newbie question possible and no one ever made me feel like a dunce, looked down on me or told me to give up because I was in over my head. Thanks - And if I can get in the App Store... well, just hang in there. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/hyde-park-atx/id657006592?ls=1&mt=8

Clicked. Downloaded. Rated. Reviewed. I'm totally psyched...! Since watching you forever, seeing you get this app finished and live in the app store is just awesome! Community is always here to help you out. Congratulations again Sharon. App looks and feels professional, I love it. David https://buzztouchmods.com

Let me just say something: the fact that your first app has Push Notifications is extremely impressive - I did not get through that hurdle until after my first year with buzztouch. That's something you should definitely be proud of! Cheers, David https://buzztouchmods.com

Congrats! Way to go. Pity it's only in the U.S. App Store, otherwise I'd download it and rate it. Now I hope my app gets approved quick :-) LOL

Rock on, Sharon! Great work! It gives me an idea for an app for my local area. Congratulations on hanging in there, even as it felt impossible. With that kind of tenacity, you're capable of absolutely anything! You should feel extremely proud of what you've done! Can't wait to see the next one! Mark

Great work, Sharon. I know I was thrilled the first time I managed to get an app working on a simulator. It was a bigger thrilled when I had it running on an actual device. I'm inspired by you to have a real app appear in the App Store. I'm hoping that will be soon. Cheers from Oz, mark

Nice job! Very impressive! This also brings up a feature request: It'd be cool if developers would list the plugins used to build their apps. Even better if Buzztouch would facilitate this through the "published apps" feature. Reason I'm listing this here is that I really like the "Latest" RSS feed and the "A to Z" screens and I was wondering how you made them, what plugins you used and how business screens are put together/maintained. Congratulations again! Really solid app. Regards, Andy

Hi Shenry, Congratulations! Unfortunately I can't download your app from my store (not available) but your story should inspire a lot of users. Glad I could be of any help. Happy coding. Best Regards, Danny

Very nice - just left a 5-star review! Scrolling seems to have issues on the crime tab / info button, FYI

Thanks everyone. @chris1 I noticed that after adding Scringo, html screens would sometimes stick and I'd have to go back to "Latest" and refresh to unstick. @andydahl for RSS I used BTM: RSS feed plugin (with this fix by chris1: In the Rd_simplerss.m file, look for the method called: - (void)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView didSelectRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath {...} In that method, about a third of the way down, is this line of code: [thisMenuItem setJsonVars:menuDict]; Comment that out) Plugins(screens) used: BTM: RSS feed (9) HTML Doc (2) Send Email (1) Menu Simple (1) BTM: Menu Simple Advanced (2) Interactive Quiz (1) Share via Email (1)

@AlanMac, I didn't realize I could change after it was released, but looks like I could. Funny, this app is for a little neighborhood in Texas - but now also available in UK, Netherlands, Spain, Canada, Germany and Australia :)
