I can't delete screens

In my self host server I go to list view and select a screen, then I delete it and confirm, but it does not get deleted. What could be the problem?

Try it twice in a row. delete it, confirm, refresh, delete it again. see if it sticks. Cheers! -- Smug

If u can add rows you should be able to delete them. Does this happen on all menu plugins?

Is it possible that you're logged in under an account that may not have those privileges? Cheers! -- Smug

Hmm... Do you know how to change your PHP settings? Depending on your host, find out how to view/edit your php.ini settings and make sure 'errors' are turned on. The easiest way to check is use a test file. name it 'test.php' and put only this text in: <?php phpinfo(); ?> and see if you have errors turned on, viewing the settings in a browser pointed at that filename. That would give you some direction if you knew what was being halted and when. Deleting screens manually via SqlMyAdmin is kind of a last resort; dangerous and a bit tedious as well. Do you have any other packages on the same server? Joomla, WordPress, anything similar? And if so, do you have any issues adding/deleting content from those? Cheers! -- Smug

I deleted screens manually via SqlMyAdmin. I haven't other packages on the same server. It's strange because it's a long time I have the self host server and never happened something like that. Thanx for the help :-)

Glad you got it fixed, sorry you had to go to extremes to do so... It is odd; most of the time, things run just fine. Interesting hiccup. Cheers! -- Smug

I wonder if something got messed up with one of your self-hosted php files? Can't imagine it would, but your issue is really odd. If you can delete menu items but not screens, it's not a permissions issue.

it's true: it's really odd and never happened before.... I'll try to investigate later, but I'm not so clever... we'll see ;-) Ciao from Rome :-)

Maybe try reinstalling the self-hosted files?
