building archive for distribution issues

I created my distribution certificate and provisioning profile and successfully did a new build. I then tried to create an archive and xCode said it was successful but when I go into the Organizer-Archives the new archive is not there. Any ideas of why and how to fix? Thanks!

Weird... so you're saying it successfully archives, but it's not there? Do me a favor... use "go to folder" and go to: ~/Library/Developer/Xcode/Archives Do you see it in there? Anything in ~/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData? Cheers, David https://buzztouchmods.com

The old ones were done when developing and I used them for testFlight.

Try one of the following (or all) Instead of using Build For -> Archive, in the product menu just use archive. It will show up then. In the scheme editor, edit the scheme and go to the Archive tab, make sure the check box for show in Organizer is checked. In the archive tab in the scheme editor check the build configuration used for archiving. Make sure it has the right entitlements file & certificates. In the build settings switch Skip Install -> Release to NO, for the build settings used for archiving. Make sure the archives folder and XCode project files are inside the same shared folder if network drive is used. I took me a few days to finally figure this out as I placed my XCode source files from a Windows shared folder, but the Archives folder is on the local Mac, which caused archives not picked up by Organizer. Got this from stackoverflow - awesome awesome awesome. Let me know if any work. Cheers, David https://buzztouchmods.com

@MrDavid, I was able to create an archive to show up in the organizer by just using - archive. :-) When I went to validate I received this popup... "Applications must be ready for upload on Itunes Connect before they can be validated or submitted from within xCode" I've added my app to iTunes Connect already and it shows up in my account. Do you know why I'm getting this message?? Thanks so much for your help!

I definitely will post a link when it's approved. Buzztouch has been so friendly and helpful in my road to finishing this app. Thanks!
