Google Calendar... we need a plugin.

Heh, I've been asked by so many clients now to incorporate their google calendar into the app, and I can -feel- the disappointment in their face (over the phone) when they hear I simply link to the mobile version. I wanted to have a go at this but I remember hearing that there are several in the works - any native calendars coming up that I don't know about guys? Let me know! Cheers, David https://buzztouchmods.com

I have an iOS one that's in review. Send me a pm and maybe we can work something out.

Hi Chris Can you provide a link to your video demo. Been wanting a solution for a calendar for months and thought we would of had a plugin by now. How long before you think your plugin will be available?

Not in front of my computer so I can't grab the link, but it should be on the YouTube channel. Not sure when it will be approved

That is it, also note that it can integrate a Google Calendar, which is exactly what I needed - very cool! Cheers, David https://buzztouchmods.com

It's in the Control Panel settings, you need to grab the ical link from your google calendar settings and then paste the link into the plugin control panel settings and it should populate the calendar. The way this plugin operates is actually genius, some ridiculous coding and work has gone into it and it's definitely one of the most advanced plugins I've seen contrary to how simple it looks as a screen. Chris really outdid himself on this one! Cheers, David https://buzztouchmods.com

I'll show you how it looks when I fix a small bug or two, waiting for chris to email me back since I think the package he sent me might have been broken. Cheers, David https://buzztouchmods.com

Hello all Here is a calendar that i got to work for iphone and ipad. Its js and css and html files. I figures out how to manipulate certain aspects of this calendar and it works great. If you guys want the source just let me know. This is a huge accomplishment for me. I usually get stuck somewhere. http://www.screencast.com/t/FpygPMrcCZ7

Looks good Feraco. After closing and refreshing the app did the calendar entries stay in tact? Does it use local storage. Thats interesting because it could be used on iOS and Android. What jquery library did you use?

Yes. I was playing around with that for weeks. Do you need to buy the liscense for that calendar for it to fully function? The reason why I ask is because I set everything up correctly and it just wouldnt function.

I have the dhtmlx scheduler working for iphone and ipad. I had to delete a line in the html that was making it full screen. I have no idea of how to get the data(events) to save to a server. Has anyone done this before?

Without getting into anything 'specific' you would: Gather the information needed to be recorded in the device/plugin (Basically a URL string with a lot of data attached to it in http 'get' or 'post' format), and send it to a html/php page on a server somewhere. That html/php page would receive the data tacked on to the URL string, and would parse it out and either insert it into an SQL Server, or write it to a file... Similarly, to 'load' the data, your plugin would initiate a URL request to either a PHP page that would query the database and return the values, or you could directly read a file on a server somewhere, and parse that data... Just my two cents... if you're going to have to learn how to read/write from a server, you may as well learn how to read/write locally... and then extend that 'saving data' to iCloud or something... Cheers! -- Smug

It does it integrate into Google Calendar through ics, although recurring events are not yet supported. Not sure when BT will make it live. If you're self-hosted we can work something out on the side though.
