Emergency Survival Kit - Approved! (promo codes)

New app approved using: -Animated Circle Menu -Smug's Message Locator -Flashlight Feature -and a few others I wanted to make an app using some of the plugins offered here. Also, with all of the tornadoes recently, I thought this could come in useful and maybe help some people. Trying my first paid app, but here are a few promo codes. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/emergency-survival-kit-tornado/id656481487 4LHTF7A6PPWP 4WMFWNAYEETN N4MR7W4XJNKA MYARNJMWJWRM

Great app...managed to use one of the codes...but iTunes won't let me leave a review...keeps saying "You must own this item to write a Customer Review." I tried on both iPad & iPhone, and same error. Is there something funky about these codes? Cheers

@BuzzingSteve Thanks! And apparently if you use a promo code...you can't leave a review Oh well! Maybe just share it with someone else that can :)

I guess Apple is getting smarter and trying to discourage reviews from friends, or other interested parties :-) Pity....will pass the word about the app for sure. BTW, I didn't see a support site for the app on the App Store...is there one and where does it show up on the App Store? Cheers

@BuzzingSteve Yeah I guess so, and thanks I appreciate it! The support site is http://localmanmedia.com/emergency I can't remember exactly where it shows up...but I think it's there somewhere.

No worries. The reason I asked about the support site was twofold: I can refer people to it, and also to see where Apple puts it on the App Store (I'm just setting mine up). Cheers

Nice app! How did you tweak the flashlight plugin? Did you make a xib file or just use custom background images? Great job... Josh

@mutzy Thanks! Yeah I just used custom images. I did change some of the code to reposition the on/off button and to resize it and then just used a background image.

@mleonard Nice job buddy. I am currently working on an app and wanted to use the Smug Message Locator. When I downloaded the source code I received 4 Sementic issues. 'Sw_smugmsgloc' cannot use 'super' because it is a root class. Did you have the same issue? If so how did you get round it?

The SmugMsgLoc version in the BT control panel is erroneous. Download the self hosted version and substitute those files for the one provided in the app package. Cheers! -- Smug

Smug Cheers for getting back to me. I tried to upgrade yesterday to self hosting but had serious issues and have left it alone as pulling my hair out. My hosting package is with godaddy and feel the issue lies with them. The SQL database was set up correctly but cant make it past the installation page. Does this mean I dont have access the the self hosted version of your plugin?

You should be able to set up self-hosting on GoDaddy without any problems (other than push notifications). Chances are your config.php file isn't configured correctly. Getting that right is the hardest part about the installation process.

Chris1 thank you for getting back to me. I would love to get as far as the config.php process. The instal process is not recognising my username and password. A per the installation PDF the config.php is the next stage. Would you recommend I change the config.php prior to the instal then? Pulling my hair out over this and am ready to give up and proceed without the plugin! (I hate giving up though)
