Sure, by adding some custom code to the plugin files. Start by looking at how the Menu with Image adds the code, then adapt for the button menu plugin. Basically, you'll need to add an imageview to the top of the class file, set it's frame to the size you want, then adjust the frame of the scrollview (where the buttons reside) to have a height of the view's height minus the imageview's height, and a 'y' origin (or how far down from the top) equal to the height of the imageview. Probably should also add some padding (maybe 20px?) just to make it look nice.

I was just about to write something similar as Chris. But also if you are self hosted you could try this plugin from psmdanny http://www.bt-addons.com/the-shop/doc_details/8-header-button-menu-plugin.html I haven't used it and not sure if the code has been updated since the last buzztouch update. Or you can add a background image and push the padding down of the button position. I have posted a tutorial I'll update the post once I find it http://www.buzztouch.com/forum/thread.php?tid=318C2FE511F4C3F6880008C&fid=BC70C36A743CD4FAD95D17F&sortColumn=FT&sortUpDown=&currentPage=15

good find mysps. Although considering it has a 'last modified' date of 8/2/12, I'm going to go out on a limb and say it has a lot of errors with the latest XCode build. Still, it would be a good starting point to look at the code for someone who's interesting in learning how to create this kind of plugin.

Hi, I wasn't aware that this file was still on my server ( totally forgot). Chris is right and the code is not optimized for the latest changes in buzztouch. This means you will get a lot of warnings and errors. For sure it's a good starting point for the learning process. Best regards, Danny

Hi, Otherwise you can still push the buttons down (it's just one number to change on the code) and make the header on the background image. It wouldn't be clickable but you will see your header. Cheers, Farcat

Thanks for tackling this. I have pushed down the buttons and made the "header" image the background image. The one problem is that the header is not scrollable, and gets covered up by my buttons. Has anybody figured out a way to make the background image scrollable? Or to make the z-index of the background image higher than the content?

The proper way to do this is to adjust the height and the Y-origin of the scrollView holding the buttons by the height of the imageView you add to the screen. If someone needs me to create this plugin, I can do it for $200 for both iOS and Android.
