Stream Audio Plugin Buttons Stick

I recently changed my html5 audio player to Stream Audio Plugin for one my apps, but I seem to be getting a fair amount of complaints from users about the buttons sticking in the app and not very responsive. At first I thought it might be because the audio files were pretty large up to 100mb, so I tested the plugin using 2/3mb audio files but was still experiencing the sticky issue with the buttons. I had originally made some changes to the plugins xib file, moving the buttons to the top of the screen and adding a background image to it. World this cause the buttons to stick? Is there anything I can do to prevent this? Really need a solution so I can update the app, as I have a few upset customers, saying my previous player worked better.

Maybe for now, it would be better to come out with an immediate update with the older audio player, and over time, get this plugin working properly. It doesn't sound like an easy fix

Hi Dragon007, Have had no complaints about that and after testing I can't reproduce what you are talking about. I also have apps from other users that use The Audio Streamer Plugin extensively - no problems. Do you also work with the latest version? If not update to the latest version and try with a clean project. See how it behaves. Maybe it's because you work with an older version or something you did to your app! I see for example some problems with the integration of Scringo - menus that won't scroll for a certain amount of time..... @Annandale: A remake of the older player is coming out soon (I hope). Working hard on that. Best Regards, Danny

Hi Danny I'm not sure why I am having these issues and I am using the latest version of the plugin, just wondering if changing the layout of the xib file may have caused this. I have re-downloaded the plugin 3/4 times, just don't understand why he button stick so much. Was hoping that maybe I could change some code or something that would help. Does the plugin stream and plays straight away or does the stream download the first 5/10 seconds etc before playing?

Hi again, Are you talking about the soundtapes app? I just tested but can't see what you mean with sticking?? Only thing I notice is that you hav a volume button but after pressing that button, no volumeslider comes up and the button is showing it's active state. There is no way you can get it back to the passive state. Must be something you've changed. Best Regards, Danny

Dragon007, It first has to contact the server where the music is stored and then buffer some audio before it can play the file. As told before, the speed of the server, the internet connection speed are important factors in how fast your the audio will begin to play. Best regards, Danny

OK, I did move the buttons about, could this be my problem? Would it be best to keep the original layout (which I have tested). I just wanted to have different layout and look. I will go back to basics and test. Thanks for responding Danny, much appreciated.

Dragon007, even if there will be another plugin that plays an audio stream it will also rely on those factors. About the 'old' player I'm working on: The old player wasn't able to play streams but needed to download the audiofile first before starting to play. This isn't going to change in the newer version. Best Regards, Danny

I totally hear you and accept the outside issues such as connection as possible issues. I will try the player before I started missing with the xib file and see how the player performs, hopefully it will solve my problems. I still think its cool plugin, just having some teething problems, I'm sure it will be resolved.

Hi Danny Just to let you know I think I found my problem and if I'm right then I safely say that your plugin is not in anyway the issue. And I apologies for suggesting that it the plugin could be the problem. So, sorry!

Hi Dragon007, Don't worry. Most important thing is that you found the issue (and are able to correct this). Good Luck. Best Regards, Danny

Dragon I'm not experiencing any issues with the app either. Loving the ripple transition
