Google Play: This app is compatible with some of your devices... again

My App on Google Play is only compatible with some devices. http://tinyurl.com/n8xqlsm I've had this issue before (http://tinyurl.com/mpqkc9e). In that case, I was able to resolve the compatibility issues by recompiling using Google Platform 2.2, API 8 (Thanks @GoNorthWest) Recently, I released another version of the App and changed only the content via the Buzztouch Control Panel. I repeatedly checked that my API was set to Google API 8, cleaned... refreshed, ... and it happened again. My Manifest file is set to: <uses-sdk android:minSdkVersion="8"/> Another user seems to be having similar issues (http://tinyurl.com/lxsj8g4). Any idea what's going on here? Should I redownload the source code and start again?

Hi @Iaxia, Out of curiosity, can you check the config files on buzztouch control panel and in your folder to make sure they are in sync? Also when you did the update, did it go through google play and did you use the same key to sign it? LA

Hi LA, Yes, the Config file was up to date, and was signed with the same key. I understand that repeating the same actions while expecting a different result is the definition of insanity -- but that always seems to work for apps -- but I've started compiling again with new source code. I don't like the idea of submitting another .apk to Google Play only to find the same issue. Any idea if there's a way to determine if I'm going to hit this road block again without submitting? Maybe that Alpha or Beta testing feature??

When I build the app I get the error message below. I fix the error by 'Fixing the Project' but I wonder if that could be the issue. Any idea? [2013-06-02 16:42:59 - BT_activity_root] Android requires compiler compliance level 5.0 or 6.0. Found '1.7' instead. Please use Android Tools > Fix Project Properties

@Iaxia, I wouldn't start a new source code with new Apk, Google might read as it be duplicate. I'm not sure, I have never seen this before and your positive it's 2.2: 8? Maybe try taking it to 3 and see what happens? Yes fixing project property first! LA

Positive, I've triple checked the APIs. It's Google API 8/2.2 I've previously fixed the Compliance error through Android Tools -> etc. I'll try GoNorthWest's in his How-To Guides and see. By the way, the BuzztouchAbility is a great idea! Unfortunately I won't be able attend.

Well, when I submitted the .apk 299 additional devices were made compatible. The .apk is not live yet, but I suspect things are ok. The only thing I did differently was to manually change the Java Complier Compliance to 1.6 from 1.7. Previously I right-clicked, and then went to Android Tools > Fix Project Properties Here's hoping.

I take it all back... I'm still stuck. Although additional devices were made compatible, I'm still being told only some devices will run the app. I'm stumped!
