Black (blank) screen in Simulator

Using Eclipse, I've configured everything correctly and successfully imported. When I run the simulator all I get is a black screen with none of the menu items I've created. There are no warnings. I have tried unsuccessfully 4 times to start over from scratch, but the black screen is all get. Any ideas?

Hi and Welcome to Buzztouch! Have you set a home screen? (Under "Layout") Jake

Yes. Everything was working fine earlier today, then all of a sudden the simulator went blank/black. Deleted everything, started over, downloaded/uploaded to Eclipse...nothing. Edit to add: I do not even see any new updates being pushed to the sim. Screenshot: http://i586.photobucket.com/albums/ss305/grandkin/Screenshot_zpsc8fcf127.jpg

What version of Eclipse? What version of the simulator are you using? What type of screen is your homescreen? (Menu with Buttons/HTML...) Jake

Jake, The latest version of everything - I just downloaded and installed yesterday. My home screen is a menu simple plugin.

I created a text doc, changed the layout to reflect the new landing page, but did not work. For some reason the software is not working correctly.

Have you tried to re-downloaded the source code from Buzztouch.com? Jake

Jeff - first of all, welcome to Buzztouch! As for your problem, Jake is right on target in making sure you set your home screen in the 'layout' options. Assuming you have done that, the next thing is to make sure you've copied the JSON configuration data for your app's control panel and pasted it into the BT_config.txt file in Eclipse. You can find this in the "assets" folder for your app project. If that still doesn't work, show us your LogCat debug data so we can see what's going on.

- Layout is set properly - Have reloaded the source coded 4 separate times - BT_config.text file is already there - Ran 'project/clean' - Nothing is displaying in the LogCat - Nothing is displaying in the Console panel As I mentioned, things were working correctly earlier yesterday, then suddenly stopped. Have been troubleshooting for nearly 24 hours -- no joy.

Hmm - definitely strange. Have you tried hooking an actual device up to Eclipse and running it? May e give Android Studio a try and see if the emulator will work correctly for you there?
