I think a handful of us are hacking at this. Kittsys solution (link below) is really knocking on the door of giving us a way to control rotation PER SCREEN which IMO would be the ultimate fix. yes this is a good step...but as I can see the problem with the stuck landscape mode is still here!!! :(
