how to create animated splash screen

hello, I am a newbie to BuzzTouch. I am creating my first app and i need to create a animated logo at the start of the app. I bought the plugin but have no clue how to do it. Any suggestions? One more thing my has 357 images which I got after rendering logo from Photoshop. Is it possible to have this large quantity of images for an animated splash screen logo? Thanks in Advance

Welcome! firstly you will need to use Chris1 Animated Splash plugin. Secondly, I create my animations using CS premier pro and export to jpg at 15 frames per second to keep the number of frames down to a minimum. It is recommended when using the animated plugin to title each image 'image1, image2, image3 and so on. Place animation sequence in BT_image folder. Be sure to select the splash screen in your theme section of your control panel. Also you will have some settings for the animation sequence in the splash plugin used in your control panel. To save you time, I would create your screen size to the app dimensions of 320 width x 480 height, or you will end up have to resize all images, which is a long boring process. You will find that the BT community is very helpful, so you should be fine. Good luck!

Thank you sir, I am using Chris Chris1 Animated Splash plugin. I exported jpg at 15 frames per second which reduced images from 357 to 226(Dimensions of 320 width x 480 height). I renamed them 'image1, image2, image3 and so on and placed them in BT_image folder. I created a screen named "logo" and also selected the it also in theme options. But what I get now is my home screen and i can't click any link at all. The logo animation does not show at all. Kindly advise me where i have gone. Thanks in advance

Adnan - sorry to hear you're having problems. Did you set the first image name in the control panel?

Make sure your home page isn't your splash screen. For your home page create any of the menu plugins as your home screen. Also set the animation settings in the splash plugin, 5, 5, 1. In your theme options go to the 'splash' link and select your splash screen you have just created. Finally, Chris has just made a very good point.

Sorry Chris I didn't understand what you mean by setting the first image name in the control panel? If you mean setting Screen Background Image in splash screen setting , that have done but same result.

Do you see that first image even? You may need to send your debug output for me to look at.

When you start running the app in the simulator, Xcode will begin displaying a bunch of messages at the bottom. That is the debug output, and it will tell us a lot. May also need to look at your configuration data (aka JSON, aka BT_config.txt).
