Confused on how to open app with Eclipse.

After successfully downloading and unzipping the app I downloaded from buzztouch, I read the PDF on how to open the app but there doesn't seem to be a "create project from existing source" option while creating a new project. I know how to open the project file by file on Eclipse but I don't think that's correct. And it also says there are tons of errors so I can't run/test the code? Hope this wasn't asked a hundred times before because it seems so simple! *I'm not sure what version Eclipse I'm running but it says there are no updates? Thanks in advance!

Have you tried going to "File" -> "New Project" -> "New Android Project", then clicking the import settings? Jake

When I try to, it says: " Cannot import BT_activity_root because the project name is in use" How do I erase all past projects and start completely new? I'm new at this and just trying to get used to everything

Go to the left project navigation bar, right click on the project you want to remove, click "Delete" or "Remove". It may prompt you to click OK. Does this work? Jake

Hi welcome to BT! Go to your computer on left side, click on start and on search programs and files, search workspace file & right click and chose open folder location now you can Delete the old file it will not show you: " Cannot import BT_activity_root because the project name is in use" any more .now you will be able to import new Project.

Welcome to BT. This is a very common problem with BT apps. The reason is very simple because all bt apps refer to the BT_activity_root.java class file as the launcher activity. The solution for this too is simple. You need to remane each and every BT project the very moment you import the project. Just right click on the project--->select Refactor---> Rename---> and then rename your project suitably. When you rename your project (the existing one) you will be able to import new bt project. Follow this process to new project too because the next time you import another bt project, you will face same problem if not followed. Hope this will help you in solving your problem. All the best.

Hi everyone, hi GoNorthWest, awesome guide, it'll be very useful on the steps.. but i have an issue: when i try to import the code in my workspace, when i choose the root folder on the uncompressed project archive i don't get the "finish" button enabled, it's not enabled and even ticking the other option i cannot finish and start the import.. any hint why it happens? thanks so much Livio
