Strange Email from AppMakr

Hi Everyone, I received a very strange email from AppMakr (whom I used years ago before BT) saying they are closing. I tried to investigate, but there is no information on their website. Screenshot: http://jworldhosting.com/Uploads/Images/Email_from_AppMakr.png Has anyone else received this email? Thanks, Jake

Haven't had the email, I signed up pre-bt as well. I notice in your email that you can now download the source code, might be worth doing and re-using some of the features in bt if possible?

Haven't visited in a long time but I seem to remember they did some quite tight integration with twitter, facebook, ning and such? Android rss reader, Android image gallery.. might be some useful stuff??

It sounds likes AppMakr was responsible for the Socialize SDK, and Socialize was just aquired by Sharethis, so sounds legitimate. David https://buzztouchmods.com

Good. I hate to say this but Appmakr is how I started and they had the worst customer service imaginable. They screwed over all of their early adopters.

Sounds like AppMakr found a good home at ShareThis..not sure. I like the "first platform to allow do it yourself app creation." Really? I know a gang that rolled this out before then, wink :-) I'm not a registered AppMakr user but would love to see one of their projects. A few of them actually. If anyone downloads an app from their control panel I would appreciate an opportunity to dig around a bit. I'm always fascinated at different development approaches and I'm sure there's a few nuggets to be found. Send app projects to david 'at' buzztouch.com

I actually logged into my old Appmakr account and can't find where you can download the source code for one of my old apps. Anyone else know where it is?

They officially posted it on their forums: https://appmakr.zendesk.com/entries/23799622--Thanks-for-all-the-Apps- If someone finds the download source code, please post. Thanks, Jake

I think they've updated that post, it says at the bottom that source code can be downloaded from early next week.

I emailed the VP and he said the source code will be available early next week. I updated the post (https://appmakr.zendesk.com/entries/23799622--Thanks-for-all-the-Apps-) and will update this topic when the changes are made :) @ David, You should sign up while you still can... The App Makr interface is one of the best out there... Lots of good stuff...

The Source code is now available. Would be awesome if someone could port over the RSS Feed reader that they had over to Buzztouch.

So, I've been trying to figure this out. I downloaded the source code of one of my old Android apps through Appmakr but without the .keystore and the password and alias name and what not there is no way I can update the app. Anyone else know what I can do here? I tried to post on their forums but it just redirects when you try to post.

>The Source code is now available Hello mitchellapps, Can you please tell me where did you find that download link for the source code? I've searched everywhere on my Appmakr control panel and apparently there is no trace of that link... Thanks!

Hey @Cartabianca, It's on the app builds section of the site. Where you can download your app or do an app-drop is where you will see it.
