Hi all, I have developed a Loyalty Plugin that I'm not releasing in the Buzztouch store because it's too valuable, I developed it to give me an edge in a particular market I've targeted and I'm not prepared to give access to that edge to any rivals that hit the Buzztouch store for my share of $8 or so. It just doesn't make commercial sense - sorry - I know people here love open source and so do I but this IP is worth way more than what people are prepared to pay for it here. Developing the App Cost me over $7000, and that doesn't take into account my time and expertise that developed the spec and supervised the development. Real commercial costs probably closer to $15,000. I didn't build it, I had it made by developers because I'm useless at programing. I'm an internet strategist by profession so I identified the need for the app and developed the spec. This is how I prefer to work, I'm really good at what I do, but I'm crap at programing. Anyway, to cut a long story short, I actually finished and paid for the development more than 3 months ago but am still yet to use it because I can't get my head around getting it into Xcode and Eclipse and out the other end and then onto Testflight and some equivalent for Android and then on my phones to demo for clients etc. Importantly for you, my developer helped me achieve that in development phase so the plugins (both Android and Ios) are working and tested, it's just that I now need a test flight account etc to do all that for my clients and as I said, I'm spinning my wheels because of my ineptitude in technical things. Meanwhile, I have 2 clients waiting for installations of the App, and another in pipeline, and while I can set up everything else in my control panel for them (rest of app plugins) I haven't yet got apps into Apple or Google because I just get so confronted and anxious about trying to compile code and set up testflight etc as mentioned. Now I know a bunch of you are going to tell me it ain't that hard Dave and I should work through it, but after spinning my wheels for 3 months I realise that I need to come to terms with the reality that I just ain't getting it done and it could never happen if I don't do the sensible thing and delegate. Now about the app I have developed, it's totally awesome and very valuable, if anyone out there has their own retail business of any type this plugin will allow you to make an app offering rewards (any number) with any number of scans to receive rewards, in a reward cycle, with ability to have clients scan a barcode to qualify for rewards. It even has some simple things built in to combat fraud - it's the best functionality of it's type I have seen - period. I'm prepared to give the right person here rights to use my app under licence for their own business in return for managing the things I can't (ie the sys admin issues I have). @chris, not sure how much you charge but 7,000 seems hight. I guess a video would be probably better to judge and view what he is trying to sell!

$7000 is what he paid for development, or rather close to $15,000, so for someone to download this plugin for 3 bucks and get the same value back, and suddenly make the same app - I can totally understand why this would not be sold or open source, I would do the exact same thing. No one will blame you for this :-) As for plugin prices, that's a whole nother thread! I wish I could help you on this one. I wish you the best of luck! I would recommend using kickfolio and sending your clients a link if you become desperate, that's what I'm doing currently instead of testflight, I hate testflight - lol! Guys, how can I show you a video of it in action, didn't you read my first message? The plugin is developed in both Ios and Android (so really it is two plugins), and it was tested and works on both. I downloaded on my phone via the developers Test Flight account 4 months ago. The developer installed the plugin on my server and removed the install of buzztouch off his server and gave me instructions how to get it going on my server, which i haven't managed to get done, as I said in my original message. For someone who knows what they are doing what I'm asking is a walk in the park. The plugin is on my server on an install of Buzztouch that the developer put on my server. Believe me, it works. I tested it on both iphone and android to sign off before final payments. But If I could show you it on video, i wouldn't need to ask for help in the way i have, I'd just get on with it! Look, if someone wants to be paid to do it fine, I just thought offering an agreement giving the right person use of the plugin would be worth way more to them, and be a better closer relationship for me.

Do you not have a working copy on your phone anymore? I'm sure it works...just want to know what I'm getting if I help.

No because he doesn't have Buzztouch on his server anymore. He installed it on his and did development and I tested on his server, then he installed everything on my server as part of delivery. Skype me davidmollet1 and I'll explain the plugin to you, it's way easier that writing all here, it'll take 5 mins in a conversation and if you like the sound of it and are up for it we can discuss terms of a license or I'll just pay you to do it if you'd prefer. I've just got to get this moving and I'm sick of kidding myself that I'm gonna get it done. I'm online now if that works for you.
