You can grab the appropriate Eclipse ADT Bundle from this location: http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html For Java, you want the JDK (not the JRE). Check out my YouTube channel for videos showing how to do the install on different operating systems: https://www.youtube.com/user/GoNorthWest Welcome to buzztouch! Mark

I recommend NOT using Eclipse. I'd use Googles Android Studio. Works on both Windows & Mac. AND it's straight from google so you don't have to go through the trouble of adding the Android SDK and going through that hassle. http://developer.android.com/sdk/installing/studio.html -tM

I'll play devil's advocate and say Eclipse is still easier. The new Eclipse ADT bundle comes with the Android SDK already configured. And for BOTH, you still need to use the SDK manager to download the necessary Google API for buzztouch projects. And, given that Android Studio is in beta, which implies bugs and instability, for the new users, I think the Eclipse ADT bundle is still the way to go!

@GoNorthWest Haha I didn't know Eclipse had a version that came with Android pre-installed. Hallelujah! Haha I remember 3 years ago when I wasn't as tech savy and I tried installing Eclipse. I got it in but it took like 3 tries and 4 days. Haha! -tM

Same experience here! Started by learning how to do it piece by piece. Then Google came out with the ADT bundle, and it was just a matter of unzipping! I suspect eventually Android Studio will be the go-to environment, but after my initial stab at it, it's just as confusing as earlier Eclipse stuff!

@GoNorthWest I've barely played around with it. Got a App running pretty quick by just hitting the Run button. Just like in Xcode so I figured it got better. But from the sounds of it it's probably better to go with Eclipse then -tM
