Self Hosted GoDaddy Issue

At GoDaddy my BT-server directory was migrated to grid hosting and inconveniently assigned a new ip address. I updated my new ip here at buzztouch for my Self Hosted Server. Now, I log in and click on any link and am immediately logged out. I did find a couple posts about this, but no answers. Anyone else ever have this and resolve it? Thanks...

Were the permissions changed on your BT-server files when you were migrated?

No and I just tried a fresh install with a new database and the same issue. All permissions at 755.

I'm sorry, I meant yes they had been changed, but I put them back. FYI... my fresh install successfully added all the tables to the database. I can log in, but it logs out with any click too. Seems to be related to a new kind of server GoDaddy has.

Did you also update the config.php file?

I update the config.php file and as far as I can tell it is correct. (thanks Chris1) FYI... GoDaddy was a dead end.

They always are, hence my switch to HostGator... Glad you got it going.

NO... it is not going. I was just answering Chris1 about the config.php. The problem is still there... nothing has changed. Both the server with my "Live" apps and the fresh install, have the same issue. I can login, and see my apps, but click on anything and it logs out... I am very much open for suggestions... thanks.

Hi, I know you did but be sure to check your config file over and over again. Something stupid like forgetting the www in the domainname, or another typo can result in this behavior. Best Regards, Danny

Okay.. some headway. This is looking more and more like a GoDaddy issue. I used a different grid hosting server I have at GoDaddy. Setup a new install and works fine. The problem is all my "Live" apps are on the first server with the problem. I'll update when this gets resolved so other buzztouch members hosting with GoDaddy can find this in a search. Thanks again everyone for the help.

I switched for GoDaddy to HostGator, and HostGator is so much easier to use.

Okay... RESOLVED. After 3 days, 2 phone calls and 4 hrs on phone suggesting to GoDaddy they had a php issue on their server (and them denying it), magically this morning everything working great. Guess GoDaddy's techs were busy last night. I'm sorry to have waisted everyones time here... thanks, you guys are awesome.
