Bangkok and/or Nan

I am new to app production and would like to meet people in Bangkok (English speaking please) maybe novices or experienced to share thoughts on the subject. I am traveling to Nan on Tues for a week as I trying to create an App for a small magazine for one of my friends(most articles and all advertising will be in Thai with some pages in English) - should I create in English then use Localization or just produce as is? Any thoughts anyone? Also what is the best way to link (upload) from PDF's or HTML or is there a simpler way? Many thanks

For the most part, you'll have two choices: 1) Include them in your app, as part of the binary package. The file size is larger. 2) Have them 'live' on the internet somewhere, and the app will 'download' the content, and cache it for later use, should the user be offline. The file size initially is smaller, but will grow with cached content. There are advantages and disadvantages to both. I tend to prefer the 'hybrid' method of including my content in the package, and there is always an option to link it to the internet later if updates should occur. This provides speed and flexibility, at the cost of file size. GoNorthWest did a pretty good write up on it here: https://www.buzztouch.com/files/howtos/Understanding_App_Refresh_and_Offline_Apps_v1.0.pdf Hope this helps! Cheers! -- Smug
