Stream Audio Plugin Player Control Question?

I have an issue with Stream Audio Plugin player control. I noticed that when I play a song from the app list, then play another song whilst the other is playing, it pauses the song playing but doesn't play the song you have just selected to play. Hope that all made sense! Anyway, how can make the player, Stop and play the song selected immediately and not Pause the song that was playing? Again I hope I was making sense. Any help, appreciated.

Hi, You have to update to the latest version. You'll see that the pause button is activated on all the songs (if a song is playing). It all makes sense that you have to press the stop button in order to play the next song. Hope this helps. Best Regards, Danny

Hi Danny thanks for the reply. I only mentioned this as this was the general feedback I was getting from users of my app. Although you can stop the music on the new song screen, it seems a little buggy as the play button when pressed afterwards sometimes doesn't respond. I will check the latest version I'm using.

OK, updated to 1.3, the player response feels improved. Great plugin BTW!

Hi Danny I'm still having a few issues with the player being a little non responsive and wanted to know is there anything I can do to rectify this. Basically, when I go from one track to another, press stop, to stop current song and then press play, to play the new track, there is a huge delay before it plays, at least up to 10-15 seconds. Is there anything I can do to make it a bit more responsive?

Hi Dragon, I think the delay has to do with the internet/server speed (loading of the the audio stream). The file has to load the first packages in order to start the song to play. Try to use another file/server to test this. If you try the radio station link (provided in the control panel) it should load relatively fast. I cannot say that others mentioned this behaviour, nor have I experienced this behavior before myself(and I just tested with several audiofiles). So I cannot think of anything else than the loading speed of the audiofile). By the way: don't use drop box (extensively) for audio files - dropbox can be slow and with huge traffic they will close your account. Hope this helps. Best regards, Danny

Hi Danny that's fine, I'm guessing I asking a lot for any audio stream to play instantly when another track is playing. It's actually a fair point, plus my audio tracks are between 70-200mb. In regards to my server, I'm running a very high spec 12 Core & 32G of Ram, so I would think I'm alright there. Thanks for the advice, sometimes you can easier overlook some standard stuff. Do you have any new plugins coming out? Have a good weekend!

Hi Dragon, server specs seem ok. The size of the file shouldn't matter because it loads packages ( part by part - streaming ). But everthing depends also on the internet connectio n speed. Is there any difference ( and this shouldn't/couldn't be the case) when starting a file with or without a file already playing? Working on lots of new stuff but developing goes very slow due to other work and lack of knowledge..... We'll see what the future will bring. Hope you enjoy the plugins I already have in the Market. Nice weekend too Best Regards, Danny
