Unable to download Android package from self hosted server

"Something Went Wrong. The packaging API had trouble downloading this app's icon from the control panel." Started happening today, it's happening with every project. Anyone else seeing this?

I just created the source code for an existing app from my self-hosted account and downloaded the zip file no problem. Sorry to hear you're having a problem.

@rave can you still grab your package from the temp directory as a temporary solution? David https://buzztouchmods.com

Check your json configuration data to see if there is some text appended to it rendering it bad JSON and incompilable for BT. That was my case... The text is appended somehow by the server and messes up everything!

Hi @WebNevees, thanks for the suggestion. It validates in JSONLint but I'll check manually :/ Also checked the db tables, repaired, optimised etc, but still getting the error.. I guess I'm lucky, I installed self hosted on the first day it was released and this is the first problem I've had.

Confirm your API key has not expired, this happened to me once. If not, make a new secret pass and then save the new pass on your server. Try again after that. David

Thanks David, just tried that, no go. Everything's live and validated. Nothing in server error logs either. I haven't checked all the bt_config file yet, but what else could it be if it's not that? I haven't changed anything and there are no obvious server errors or php error logs in the bt_app directory.

HMMM. Delete your app icon. Use a completely different image (first try a JPG, if no go, try PNG). Don't use the icon you're using now just try a random image from google. Try now. David

The fact that it is happening with every project suggests a server related issue to me. Could it be that your CP has lost its connection with the Buzztouch servers?

Are you on v2.1.8? Or has it been updated recently? Because I can't find the error text or any part of it besides "Something Went Wrong[period]" anywhere in the source of 2.1.8. If your version is 2.1.8 then for sure the error is being sent in via buzztouch.com in the packaging process and the guys need to check there.

Got it! Thanks everyone, especially @WebNeeves and @AlanMac for prompting me to look at my server more thoroughly. I don't know how it happened because I haven't visited my c-panel for ages. All the external sites I allow hotlinking to my images were still in the whitelist but weren't being honoured. Just re-applied the external sites and now it's ok. I guess the bt api call to the icon.png is detected as hotlinking? On the plus side, at least my server is doing its job, most of the time! Thanks again everyone, it's appreciated!
